19/10/2006 10:11 | Wow. Beginning to believe perhaps a suitor has already approached MEG? | iandippie
19/10/2006 10:08 | Looking even better now :o)) | rivaldo
19/10/2006 08:48 | The chart looks interesting now - one little push and there appears to be blue sky till around 52p? SteMis, I see 60p as a reasonable target within the next 6 months. Assuming the March y/e trading statement confirms everything is in line or better, the market should start rewarding MEG for its turnaround and re-rate it nearer to its sector comparators. A P/E of 13 or 14 would still be well below the sector average (perhaps to reflect the decreasing but still relevant debt), but would give a share price of around that 60p mark. And if the price doesn't re-rate then MEG must be a prime takeover target as per this morning's paper talk. | rivaldo
19/10/2006 08:06 | I think 70p is a little ambitious without concrete progress on debt reduction. Personally my target was 50p as I said on TMF "Current forecast is £9.74 PBT and 3.97p EPS putting MICE on a forward 2006/7 P/E of only 9.6, which still looks cheap. The critical factor in a re-rating to a more sensible level will be progress on debt reduction. At 28.2.06 net debt stood at £44.1m. If MICE can get this moving consistently downwards and look like they are on track to meet the 2007/8 forecast EPS of 4.37p then I don't see why we shouldn't see a share price of 50p+ within 12 months." Of course in a takeover we might see closer to 70p. | stemis
19/10/2006 07:40 | Thanks rivaldo, that is excellent news!! Would I be too greedy to suggest MEG will reach 45p today? Any predictions before the opening bell? | qalbabbass
19/10/2006 07:37 | Thats a pe of 10 which is good value. If they obtain a higher than expected EPS, which is what I am expecting, then hartlepoolfc2 you estimate of 70p seems reasonable. | qalbabbass
19/10/2006 07:33 | Nice....from today's Guardian: "Finally, keep an eye on conference and training group Mice. It added 2p to 41.75p, an 18-month high, as one trade went through at 43p. Traders said it would make a good fit for a larger media group looking to expand." | rivaldo
18/10/2006 21:31 | Bought 3K of these today, it's new 12 month high today should put it on the radars of a few investors in the next few days. I have been in and out of these for years and did very well back in the good old days a few years back. The newish chief executive seems to have turned things around and the institutions seem to be buying in. Can easily see these at 70p+ once the results are out next month and people can see the profit coming through on the large turnover. I have never made a loss on MICE and I won't this time either. The results should highlight how cheap these really are. | hartlepoolfc2
18/10/2006 17:48 | welcome aboard adorling whats your price target | amu240

18/10/2006 12:00 | 81,700 shares bought at the full 43p offer... | rivaldo
18/10/2006 11:41 | Amu240, yep - HAS already turned into! Unfortunately it means you have to check two sources of trades for info rather than just one now (for those stocks listed on PLUS anyway). | rivaldo
18/10/2006 11:41 | would not be surprised to hear a bit of takeover talk. rise is fantastically welcome but a bit suspicious about what is causing it. | mickystone
18/10/2006 11:22 | so buys on the plus market dont show on advfn but can still make the price rise what the hell is plus in a nutshell is that what oftex is turning into???? | amu240
18/10/2006 11:15 | There she blows - breakout! Amu240, there's 34k of buys on PLUS this morning: And the early 27k trade may have been a buy too. As was the 26k at 42p just gone through :o)) | rivaldo
18/10/2006 11:03 | and this is on 2 sells | amu240
18/10/2006 09:04 | It's got the wind in it's sails now... | iandippie
18/10/2006 09:02 | Looking very good! Another mini-breakout now and just a small push needed for a more important one. | rivaldo
17/10/2006 08:06 | Nice run recently. Struggling with the resistance level on the chart at 41-43p. Once we have cleared this next stop 55p. Remember interim results published on 21st Nov (in 4 weeks time). If these are good with v.positive forward statement this could be the driver we need to break this resistance level. Fingers crossed. Still holding. TTNY | thistimenextyear
