10/4/2020 10:51 | You make £100,000 in a deal. A 6 month hold Risk same. Assume it is positioned to equate to holdings value movement. CFD or spread When you take costs and tax into consideration (depending on your tax rate from "official work lol", you will be at least 14% better off spread. Ok so you can offset losses in some cases via CFD to tax. But if you are a net gainer overall, thats no advantage | sentimentrules
10/4/2020 10:50 | Spread betting is for mugs, it's shooting fish in a barrel for the institutions. With CFD your trade makes a difference like shares, but spread betting is just a bet unless they hedge it in the market. | turvart

10/4/2020 10:46 | It actually does my head in. Reading about spreads being more risk. How? If 5% stock movement equals the same profit/loss as a typical holding value? Pretty simple | sentimentrules
10/4/2020 10:43 | Just dont see why people dont just get the calc out, and work out value per point to equate to exact same movement as a holding value. To equate to same risk as a share price percentage move. whether day trading or medium term. I get other methods for longer holds alright but wont bother with those until full blown market depression | sentimentrules
10/4/2020 10:41 | And CFD funding by my calcs, dearer to finance over a period | sentimentrules
10/4/2020 10:40 | Its the tax though. Its a crucifier compared to spread | sentimentrules
10/4/2020 10:39 | I can only access ETF's in my trading account but don't bother with them, I only trade shares in my trading account. If your really serious about trading I would say do it from a CFD platform. I take trading serious with Funds and their is ZERO spread on funds with SLA accounts. | turvart
