They are good points .

But I read one of the best macro analysts in the world (will post it elsewhere)

And his view Is basically this :

Yes he can understand stalling the fall rate with stimulus. That's fine

But to maintain levels in to recession is literally financial suicide for all countries

There is a cost to all this. It's not free money bring printed .

And they MUST get out of next recession with no further QE required. QE means low rates forever in essence. Doesn't suit anyone

The only way to do this is low value markets. No more investing based on QE and rates (has been for years. Companies didn't really matter much on the whole)

....

Markets must reset .

If they didn't learn that in 2008 (years of QE and low rates that had no end ) ... then an even bigger crash will come rapidly as all macro stats will be shocking. Debt etc

A global recession can't be stopped now. Will kick in at end of 2nd or 3rd quarter. Dow 50000 couldn't stop that

News reckons the rise yesterday was down to covid tailing off in some euro countries. Shortism. Doesn't stop recessions. And numbers not exactly tallying for today anyway .

Extra trillion from Feda maybe it

smartie, I fully expect this market pump to last at least 2 weeks. In 2008 this final wave went on for 8 weeks.

Megaphone formation has happened on S&P.

Wave C is here guys, Wave Covid.

Pump and dump. Crash and burn.

Just had a Hedge Fund on CNBC advising they see S&P going to 3600 by last quarter 2020. Testing new highs!!!!!
Now I don't know what agenda but I'm assuming pump and dump.
Everyone seems to be feeding this market. Wish I had a crystal ball. Everything tells me that if 15 to 20% of SMEs fail in UK then the impact on the economy is going to be seismic re Banks, Unemployment, House Prices etc. We're already seeing a number of large corporate failures and we have over 6weeks of lockdown to occur at the least.

With elections coming up, don't you think DJT will keep the stocks look pretty?

Too many factors to decide when this manipulation will stop.

SR, thanks for sharing your opening position on DOW. I have been going through all the feeds to find entry position from all tech analysts like you.

Dow, I'm still long till 24000. Then asses and open short position.

If this mimics 2008's final leg, don't you think this rally could continue for another few weeks?

Fed's apparently pumping £1m per second.

I add to that though. Given my expectation and IF I can get an addition in the risk zone, I will start looking to addition points with market money in the green zone (<22504)

22504 I took it pione. Wide stop in volatility but wide stop OK. Expect savage cuts

Any investor buying this rally must be on drugs. Traders fair enough

It's one of those cases for buyers. If they note all macro now...and then invest...gonna feel pretty stupid in the coming period

ETF market is where the Feds are feeding the funds

That's about it..

A typical retrace. Just so happens to be a volatile one to match the previous leg in the downtrend

Well still got a few here...have no idea if/when things will improve for Metro but the price had already plummeted,so relatively speaking not a lot of change.

Just to add, Spain have sadly declared an increase in both death rate as well as cases.
Appears to go hand in hand with what we’ve heard from France this morning.
We’ll see where we sit later but maybe tomorrow when we get a better feel.
Hoping Boris recovers quickly but one thing for sure is that when coming back out of hospital he’s going to need 2months recovery which will leave us with Dominic Raab for a while.
I couldn’t believe the ICU death to recovery rates that SR posted earlier but I just looked and it’s true, 50:50 chance of recovery. But it doesn’t say how many were using ventilation equipment.

We all hate losing and we have all had our fair share of that along with the wins, all part of investing I'm afraid, anyone brave enough to call this market right now and get it right deserves to make Money in my book.
Right back to work...

"kathy..I like a bit of honesty refreshing on this B/B"....
I hate losing, so I am getting a taste of my own medicine now having it rubbed in my face that I called it completely wrong!!! And well, I dish it out so I have to take it in return, right?
