thats different. you are building a position for the future and that cant be argued with microsoft

im only meaning value today.

id do the same as you maybe from 118 and then actually hope for lower

but id be surprised if it does

they may allow a stab under 118 at best

then intervention albeity, not required me thinks

the world has changed forever...i think even after vaccine found

the whole public psyche will be a bit different. Try to gauge that and look forward

obviously hygiene will be a much bigger market than before and so on, and ought not to drop 50% based on a vaccine as it should be a developed habit after a global year of focus

simple things

Have to remember that despite incomes maybe slightly down - there is a whole lot of cash for virtual services as nowhere else to spend it

they may lose some business initially until economy finds the balance for working online. But has gaming services etc too where demand will go through the roof

Apple
JPM
Microsoft ,major issue

You would think amazon and walmart etc would be ok to balance out a bit. Maybe should do after the panic sell on those.

Microsoft i think will be ok. Right service for the times coming. Was just panic sell

Turvart, my advice to you would be to plan for the worst. Assume it will fall below and plan accordingly. Better to be prepared as they say!

World avoided recession for a few years due to dow, and moreso - due to 3-5 stocks in it, Microsoft leading. Whole world economies basically floated on less than a handful of companies

And for pension funds, the problem there is, even ones not holding those, whether realise it or not, were buying due to that less than handful of companies

so pretty key what those few do.

Personally turvart, i dont see them allowing it to occur

However there is no real cost to governments for failing pensions? Well there is but compared to continued QE and low rates cost, its minimal

hard to know what they will do on those few companies

i know they said no direct stock buying - but that could change

Thankfully I don’t have a pension fund. Figured that investing my cash into businesses that I have a degree of control in and going for some decent size exits was the way to go. Against conventional wisdom, it seems my strategy was bang on. Now I’m just sat in cash and gold and a small IG balance for spread betting. But even that I am closing out this week and withdrawing.
Have spread cash around 5 different banks to stay under £85k limit in each

Been looking to see why you highlight that number specifically as the 'real trouble'

Agree

I am so worried if Microsoft breaches 118, if that happens then there is real trouble!

Wardy333,

You are very wrong indeed! SR is a fantastic trader and I have great respect for him as a trader and we have become friends, we don't always agree on the market but I certainly listen to SR's views and think them over.
