SR,

When your in an active fund the fund manager needs to pick certain equities and they always get taken to the cleaners with the MM's so stay passive FFS!

............

turvart u misunderstand

i wouldnt trust any fund, passive or active, with my money

i create my own book. take care of it myself

Old Man - Spartans are going to ride for weeks/months

there will be bounces as always - but i wont believe any bounce until i see other markers supporting that

For holding buys, want to see Dow 15000 minimum

Ftse 4000

Assess at those

180 to 82?

a few years holding gone in weeks maybe?

this is my view

.........................

Active, i do not mean in and out every 2 mins

i simply mean, stay on pulse - and be decisive when you feel analysis is saying, tide turning

What if it is only a minor correction and not slaughter? so what? buy lower or exit price if market allows - no probs

How do you see the Markets in general on Monday SR, with all the money committed to the 'Coronavirus emergency bail outs'?

Are the Spartans going to ride again?

Lets take an example - you said Microsoft around 180, was looking dodgy. 145 or 137 test very possible. Right?

Did you stay passive? Would you if in?

So 137 today - if market was normal, maybe could buy again. BUT one day, market isnt normal - now 137 looks like 118 or 82

Passive slaughter. Way too late in the bullish period to be holding such thoughts

Its very simple - buy in recessions - there you can be 100% passive for a good while. Only from there

Passive funds will always beat active funds hands down, do not get into active funds, choose passive everytime!

...........

That Turvart , depends on who is the overseer

Passive funds have gone bust too - bad overseer

In fact, with QE and low rates, how could most fail in the last decade?

But i bet , most are years of returns lost and market digging into capital already, in weeks

Been active all my life Tulvart, and semi passive

Active trader

semi passive investing

i wont ignore the warning signs on holds. I never assume, just a minor pullback or correction

i always assume it could be the start of something brutal. One day, that saves u a fortune. Maybe even years of work

People had it easy for years. Here comes the test lol

SR,

WE are friends, but could you have held a pension fund up with just a 10% loss? because I have done just that and to be honest I consider myself fantastic!

Active v passive pension management

Passive is fine until US repo as example, starts turning. Time to get active

SR,

I take that comment has you don't hold a pension, being that I consider myself a fantastic trader and have held my pension fund up with a 10% loss, would you consider that you SR could of held my pension up?
