pione they already are the problem is timing sit back too long and the Fed intervenes and the market rises quickly as the numbers infected tail off and supply chains slowly get back to normal.

It's not delusional its based on the latest statistics coming out from China...only 143 new cases in the last 24 hours.

For what it's worth don't panic!

So here's the good news China reports that the virus is under control and numbers infected declining. Number infected in UK 164 with 2 deaths out of a UK population of 66.4 million!

Much of share price movement is driven by general market flapping.

CRO left without even starting his new job if he thought Metro was a real dog he would not have taken the job in the first instance so way too much over reaction by the market.

Operational loss is just £11m on revenues of £400m and interest on MREL debt accounts for most of this loss..Debt can be refinanced in due course at much lower rates.

85% of branch costs covered by safety box rentals which could be raised if necessary as there are few other competing suppliers.

Liquidity and capital adequacy ratios ok, above industry average.

FCA/PRA won't apply a large fine which would undermine the objective of creating competition to big 4. And whatever penalty incurred wont be announced for at least another year.

Interest cuts hit net interest income but the bigger banks face the same issue but have a far higher fixed cost base thousands more branches with no security box revenues and big expensive corporate head offices.

Customer survey Metro polls number 1 and customer deposit base still growing strongly.

In short the market is over reacting due to the virus and this is adversly impacting all shares including Metros as investment funds try to second guess which way the markets going.

6 months from now we will look back and wonder what the fuss was all about.

If we have tens of thousands of infections and a steeply rising number then we have real issues but as yet we have not reached that level..For example during London rush hour 2m people commute yet only 164 infections reported for the whole country!

I have agreed for sometime let market forces dictate. Low interest rates have gone on for far too long. Supplemented everyone's lives. QE has been a guide to keep the politicians rich and accustomed to the life they believe they deserve.

My buying wont start in earnest until ftse is sub 4000. In the US stocks, Dow sub 15000

Can't say this period the start of that uliltmate correction. . But I truly believe that when it comes, as deep as 2008 if not deeper

It's an historic bull run based on just about everything bar market/company confidence lol. Well historic bear follows

And they will need to let it happen or banks will never see int rates back to normal. And until they are normalised, just gonna be QE etc
