Nice chart Beanburger.

Certainly looks like recent gains are not tempting sellers out.

12c looks like the new floor.

A break of 15c and 20c will be here in a flash.

No stock available and explosive newsflow about to hit this tin pot cannuck stock

high and tight bull flag developing here. Good to see recent gains are holding on little volume. Confirmation of Rumour by official channels could see 1-200% gains very quickly here imo.

daily chart update: 100 ema is at 6.0 cents and 400 ema is at 6.1. if she stays up where she is now then it'll cross over today or tomorrow.

it will be interesting to see what if any chartist step in. i know some peope going looking for such crosses as a strategy.

Hi Trading - welcome.

i'm moose lover / shagger so its not completely off pist. ;-)

ok i see where people are coming from - a reverse vehicle. perhaps for the off shore stuff it will be a jv or similar but shields is well connected so anything goes.

regarding the daily chart above. the 100ema is getting closer to the 400ema and when it crosses it, it will be for the first time since Jan 2006 when it was 1.10

Nice to have a dedicated forum for non Canadian MES holders.

Al will know me as a long term Range Holder.

I have taken an initial position in MES and will look to add further shortly.

If (and I have little reason to doubt Bob Shields) MES have the offshore Puntland concession and are involved in the Nugaal region, then a $10M MCAP is peanuts.

Yes they need finance, but my suspicion is MES is just being used as a high leverage vehicle to these concessions so dilution will not be on the agenda.

My money is on a farmout of a share of MES's percentage to a third party not too distant from Range again.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

latest daily chart above. we need the 100ema crossing 400ema (that is the 20ema and 80ema off the weekly chart) see the circle in the chart.

meanwhile upright bull flag penant. very bullish. with the market cap still under 10mill and size of the deal at hand....

"the only way is up ... baby"

al - i don't believe there are any players behind MES, it just too early. i understand where the thinking is coming from .

as you say a good strike on land is going to give the area creedence. and judging the price action the boys could use it.

Apoligies - following link here 30th June 2011 Nugaal Valley comprehensive report on estimated oil reserves

to view file look in 8th Sept under 'other' PDF 4739 K

Offshore deal.

Marauder Resources to be involved in Nugaal plus huge offshore potential is not surprising - of more interest would be who are the real players behind such a deal.
Offshore on the table again could be a larger player showing interest in offshore same as a year ago when rumour has it we were offered 30p approx to secure a deal - which was turned down.
Situation slightly different now as about to start drilling Puntland onshore - so if oil strike onshore - offshore becomes more expensive.

Thanks McBeanburger, there are 2 Nugaal blocks, i think that is what was confusing me. The one on the coast which we are discussing here and the one in land, which is scheduled as for the second drill by AOI/RRL/RMP etc. Is this how you see it?

your right Africa Oil is the operator not range

regarding your post on RMP thread from Pearlexporter

"Also, people need to stop worrying about the size of Marauder - 'IF' it does occur with them, then it will be all about who is behind them."

i don't see why this is an issue for some (size of mes) - they have to get the money that is all they have to do. they had the money for Greenland lined up, they also had money lined up for Libya. Encana don't do business with marrauder if they don't have something going for them.

the issue with mes is they haven't been able to get the deal... and that is in the share price.

Some time ago Range has completed an offshore seismic/well database and through this has identified reservoir and source rock targets.

Hi RedBoyce,

Nugaal: yes that's my understanding nearest the coast, and the inland concession is the one being drilled right now by Range etc.

Timelines:

1) first they need the formal approvals and such, next step from MOU's. my guess within the next month or so.
2) then they need to fund all the expected activities in Nugaal East. I would expect that to take us until December. I assume the Range is the operator but i have no idea.
3) get the drilling going. its already been drilled so i'm not sure what the approach will be, new areas or reconfirming the holes already drilled. This should happen around mid 2012.

I believe Range has to be involved with all of it as they have all the original concession agreements. I don't think that sysmtic's have been done on the off shore piece so that needs to be done also... I don't have timelines for that.

I understand Range and co are going to publish news next week regarding puntland so will be interesting to see what that is... good news will send MES flying IMO.

trust that helps Red.

Hi McBeanburger, thanks for the thread. Just to confirm Nugaal East is the 2nd of the Nugaal blocks? First being drilled by Range, RMP etc after the first puntland spud this quarter? Do you have any time frames on Nugaal East or any info on other onshore/ offshore partners other than Range. Thanks again.
