Posted at 17/4/2008 13:27 by gsands MNE components look very good judging by the charts above. |
Posted at 01/4/2008 14:24 by gsands Let's hope MNE can leave behind this trading range soon: |

Posted at 25/3/2008 10:49 by gsands rainydays,I agree. The chart shows that whilst the main market has been falling, MNE has held a trading range. This consolidation is very bullish. It shows the fund has strength relative to the rest of the market. This fits with the fundamental outlook for green energy stocks, which is surely better now that at any time before. I expect that when this consolidation period resolves itself upwards, that the move should be a strong one. |
Posted at 21/2/2008 14:23 by gsands This week on BBC's Working Lunch there has been a feature on renewable energy technologies, starting with solar power on Mondays episode.Very interesting for investors like us who are believers in the renewable energy revolution. All the episodes are archived on BBC's iPlayer website: A must see for all MNE holders and other renewable technolgy investors. |
Posted at 17/2/2008 23:48 by hoggetwood ZUT: MNE has recovered more than half its January drop, whereas INRG is only a third of its way back. Not the only criterion, of course, but I'd rather be in MNE at the moment. |
Posted at 17/1/2008 22:16 by gsands Well look at the US market where most of MNE's holdings are listed. It's quite obvious why MNE has been falling so hard: |
Posted at 11/1/2008 11:26 by spangle93 IEM is down a chunk too, which points to it being wider than just MNE Maybe it was confirmation that nuclear was going to be revisited in England and Wales, though I would have thought that MNE is less parochial than just UK issues |
Posted at 02/1/2008 13:34 by spangle93 Happy new year to all!Praipus and other helpful folk, can I ask for help? Mrs Spangle, who's the green ideallist (as opposed to me who's the green investor) has some cash in an ISA, but it's held in a fund supermarket, so realistically, unless I transfer it to another ISA provider and set up an account for her there, I have to find a unit trust that meets her needs. But the areas she wants to invest in are those covered by IEM, ECWC, and MNE, which are IT's. We did take out a IEM unit trust last year, but it involved money changing about 4 currencies (though a UK IFA, it's an Irish fund with an American parent based in Luxembourg or something), so literally it took a month from us writing a cheque to them buying units. We've found the Neptune Green Planet Fund, Schroder Climate Change, Jupiter Ecology and Environmental, and Henderson Industries of the Future, which are sort of in the right direction, but not really aligned with the ITs. Can anyone suggest a UT that we may have overlooked, that would parallel the sectors that MNE and others are in? |
