There are a lot of people holding back I would think so it could mean a big jump if any news is imminent post EGM (Did I just say 'Imminent')!

I have paid a % up front for the extras after the 1-4-3 but will take some on the open market if it has a pull back, like it did on the announcement re the offer, a brief dip to circa 40p the closed at 60p ish.

I hope you are right William. I have also held back some cash for next week but I suspect the purchase price I'm looking for is a lot lower than yours might be.

LR2, and most will mop up the few that are sold, with PL on board I have held back £12k for monday.

Duc, I have my doubts about how honourable their behaviour will be. I expect to see a lot of selling of new 25p shares as soon as possible. I assume the various institutional management teams will take the easy money and move on to the next discounted placing wherever it may be. It's a lot easier to make easy money on various discounted placings than holding shares in a company these days.

Money taken from my H-L account, for both requests. H-L seems to be the top broker to be with.IMO

lR2, yes indeed, last week you would have struggled to buy meaningful quantity in the mid 60s, now it seems there is plenty to go round. Lets see how "blue chip" the new insts are next week in their behaviour, would hope they will add on market.

I called them today to make sure they had recieved my response to the corporate action. I still do not feel confident with the way it was presented on the website. I hope I get a few more than my 1 for 3. There are a lot of stupid people investing judging by the calibre of people on ADVFN so who knows!

Me too Brasso. And that's despite me advising them some time ago now. As Halifax is part of Lloyds and they are laying off staff left, right and centre I expect many of them have other things on their minds right now.

I have my 1 for 3 shares showing in my account but no money has been taken as yet. These are not tradable at the moment. Halifax also claim they have no information regarding the EGM and have not sent me the forms!

Odd isn't it. The Cult of Levine has added exactly 3p to the shares right now. Is he the Messiah or just a naughty boy?

Current on line limits not looking too good at the moment Duc.

Buy 25k at 57p, sell 1.5k at 56p.

You are right IJ but note that it was the intention before and after the proposed entry of PL to farm-out. The effect is the same though.

Wozel, Surely SG wants to get the EGm out of the way and then announce PEL as part of the new President. Reasons can always be found for delays (lawyers etc), and this will provide cover for the delay. Happens a lot in my experience. I would do the same I should add!! Investor pyschology and all that.

IJ,
what do you mean by dependant on EGM?
if news is due to be released, then should it not be released?

I find it hard to believe that the PEL deal is not agreed by now, verbally at least. The two months quoted by SG has elapsed I believe. Likely to be announced in early Dec I imagine.
