Ungaro have slipped in and brought 3.11% of the company and the peeps have given them a gift by running for the exit door, interesting times ahead, will be topping up in the morning

Some sizeable lumps gone thro` today.

One would have thought that Ungaro must have a pretty good idea of how MPH is doing overall.

they would have to pay fair value to buy it, to get the shareholders to agree

'the market' is keen to take all your money across the board at the moment!

Well, MPH are going to T/O approx £80 million this year, they must be able to beat the final full year profit of YSL with that.

Surely that is what the market is looking for?

Of course another thought is :- could Ungaro take MPH over? it is a bargain at the moment.

irrational fear has gripped the market across the board as people fear a bear market, however,it presents opportunities to the investor as he/she realises that armagheddon is not necessarily upon us.

Dunno, but since July Mr Morris appears to have lost 9m in the value of his (25% of) shares.

Oh well, suppose the 850k bonus will help ease his pain...

Hi all,

*Ba5hir is back* could also be *Target Setter* and I think *Target Setter* could be numerous other posters! It goes on and on!

See below, post on iii website:

Re: MPH losing money in the US
target setter

In case readers cant work out the profit and loss its.

UK £250,000 profit

Europe etc £831,000 profit.

US £628,000 loss.

Now whats worrying is the £ has increased agaisnt the $ about 10% or more since the first half therefore the US could be increasing losses going forward.

In conclusion...I was right in thinking some operations were losing money ! Looks like they are giving stock away!

I wonder how much of the first half bad showing in the States is due to the Ungaro womanswear, which is not really MPH`s fault?

lol. I think he has a plentiful supply of offal for your hamper..... you want it minced or just "off the bone"?

And thanks to Bash'd Ear for being an ever-willing patsy. A natural talent.

a 7% yield and numerous more chances to get shafted by my mate Morris, so I'm not selling......thought i'd drop him a line to ask for a xmas hamper, since i'm the only pi left holding.....his reply "are you out of your brains"....deja vue or what?

Well, since Mr Morris's tirade last Tuesday about shareholders being out of their brains, it appears that shareholders have got a further 15% out of their brains.

Market cap now c15m. NAV 12m of which intangibles 10m (!)

The IP of visitors to a bulletin board can easily be tracked, Argy.

Although I don't do it myself (OK, I did once to a poster called Haystack who was being EXTREMELY annoying) its not exactly rocket science.

Fusebox, Loverat, Target Setter, Tripswitch, Bashir etc etc. Take your pick...

S'pose he'll never be lonely. Bid dropped again.

Argy, Bash'd Ear (etc) deramps everything apart from EKT. I think his theory is all the money will eventually go to EKT.
