21/11/2007 15:56 | "Income that had been anticipated at the end of the current fiscal year is now expected early next year, Morris said, declining to give figures." What's all this about then? | 0o0
21/11/2007 15:49 | I left it out because if trading worsened I feel the co would cut it. It wont be the first company to say they are going to pay the dividend then cut it. They are clearly worried about cashflow and debt is climbing. | ba5hir is back
21/11/2007 15:44 | Ba5hir is back You seem to have left out about them maintaining full year payout? You should be a journalist. | argy2
21/11/2007 15:30 | Shore halved forecasts but if trading does not pick up quickly there could be more profit warnings... If managementn were confident thye would not have cut interim divi. | ba5hir is back
21/11/2007 10:19 | Rag trade very ragged LOL :-) Good luck holders. | polzeath
21/11/2007 10:08 | DDL, I know you have taken a big hit on these but I was wondering if you still hold and are sitting on a paper losss or have hit the sell button along with the bottle. Would love to hear from you as then I can sign off from this board for good. | tuftymatt
20/11/2007 22:30 | rivaldo, As you well know banking a profit is always a good move even if it's only a few quid and not a few grand. This game we play has always been a hard one and even though the last few years have been good to us all times like these, and shares like this, should make us all think a little harder about why we are playing and can we afford to take the hits that we all face in the end. | tuftymatt
20/11/2007 20:54 | When I stated I'd sold after the last finals at 175p or whatever it was I and a couple of other sellers got what I thought was an over the top slating from some, basically saying we obviously couldn't see the wood for the trees. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing, but I think we made the right decision somehow. Commiserations to the long-term holders here, especially wbjunior. Interesting to see where the share price goes now. | rivaldo
20/11/2007 17:20 | half a million, well thats blows my theory | cosnova
20/11/2007 16:54 | There were over half a million on plus yesterday by mid afternoon, I don't know what the final reported volume was. | 0o0
20/11/2007 16:50 | thanks Marben nearly 180k traded on plus, and I wouldn't mind a bet that the buys and sells over the last two days are about equal. | cosnova
20/11/2007 16:46 | no, I hasn't | seizetheday
20/11/2007 16:46 | Yesterday (19th) volume was a princely 262K shares. Just 92K today. | marben100
20/11/2007 16:40 | anyone have yesterdays share numbers traded, | cosnova
20/11/2007 15:09 | I would rather they were where they can make profits. These have traditionally been in the UK. The far east is mostly handled via Licence agreements. I just dont really see the supposed huge profits for Marchpole in emerging markets. They need to have UK / US / EU working. 70m turnover is a forecast. Of which 25m is shoes. You can knock 5-10m straight off as moda is way below expectations. I am more concerned about margins, they sold say 12m Apparel in the UK, did it make a profit? They sold USD5m (GBP2.5m) apparel in the US, it did not make a profit. Moda had turnover heading towards USD25m not long ago. | momentos
20/11/2007 15:00 | 70. million turnover and known in Japan/ korea, you knew YSL was going and the company expanding other lines, would you prefer they just stay in UK, where the have core profits | eagle eye3
20/11/2007 15:00 | another tick back, | cosnova
20/11/2007 14:52 | eagle eye, If you are in an emerging market and want to strut your stuff, which brands do you go for? You "Mimic" what rich westerners do. Are rich westerners wearing Ungaro Menswear? Not particularly at the mo. Are they wearing JCC? Not particularly. The emerging markets are easy for the Gucci, D & G, Ralph Lauren's of this world, alot harder for Marchpole. Thats why the absence of core UK / US profits is a real killer for me. | momentos |
