24/4/2007 21:45 | Thought you chaps might be interested in this from Hardman's April review just out: "MARCHPOLE HOLDINGS There have been no new updates since our last Monthly from Marchpole Holdings. Following Marchpole's acquisition of Greenmark Limited, a designer, wholesaler and distributor of ladies footwear in February, we upgraded both our forecasts and our estimate of fair value. Given the company's latest announcements regarding its new long-term distribution agreements with The Chalhoub Group and The Crocus Group we expect that we will be upgrading again." | ![]() rivaldo
24/4/2007 14:56 | yes dave I have to agree with you, patience is the key. If you take the dividend alone using a discount factor of 5% you have a pound of value and around 15p of earnings left for investment. At 10 times earnings your on £2 and on 15 £3 so at todays price of 1.65 there is quite a margin of safety imv. A quick valuation is to take the eps of say 20p then use a longterm discount rate of say 10% and apply a growth factor of say 5% and you have a company valuation of 109 million pounds or £4 per share, sounds crazy compared with todays price but even that may be on the low side imho................ | ![]() wbjunior
24/4/2007 09:45 | should see a run up in the share price towards the results as the markets know that they will be good, what happens after is down to the forward orders, if we are told them! The clever punters take out a T20 before the results, the really clever punters take out a T20 To catch the ride caused by the clever punters. | ![]() dan de lion
24/4/2007 08:51 | wbj If we have learnt anything, patience is a virtue with MPH. Most of the smaller get rich quick merchants seem to have moved on and good luck to them. I still feel there are long term steady gains to be made here and have even added over the past couple of weeks. Regards | ![]() daverw
24/4/2007 08:30 | Morning guys not long to wait for news now and further movement north, remember the perfume revenue kicks in from Jan 2008 and I estimate that will add 500,000 pounds straight to the bottom line (2p appox to eps). Markets not caught on fully to the potential here but will soon imho................ | ![]() wbjunior

18/4/2007 08:58 | quote Morris, marchpole to match market expectations, I'm just waiting for confirmation in june. | nardelli
18/4/2007 08:50 | nardelli Interesting, I have postured a few ideas regarding the recent share price movements and your reply is to micro analyse the use of one particular word. Well I believe that a rise in price due to exchange of shares is known as a rally. So, allow me to reciprocate .............. how can it be 'news' if you already know what it is? | larmertree
18/4/2007 08:46 | Yes Dan and that's on this year's earnings but forward earnings should be a lot higher, I for one will be glad when more revenue information is published to enable greater visibility between licences/acquisition | ![]() wbjunior
18/4/2007 08:31 | An eps of 21 pence and a (fair) P/E ratio of 15 is £3.15. | ![]() dan de lion
17/4/2007 23:08 | moving up to a fair value is not what I would call a rally, and we all know what the next new's is | nardelli
17/4/2007 19:39 | Personally I dont see manipulation of the share price, all the moves I have observed have been accompanied by trades and general market volatility. The recent rally was undeserved and driven by sentiment/greed and so profits have been taken (I took some) and I fully expect the share price to settle back around 165-175 until more news arrives to trigger a geniune rally. Regards Second thoughts ill guess a 160p bid price for a while. | larmertree
17/4/2007 10:12 | wbj, share similar views, know the benefits of buying, adding and more importantly of holding. There are benefits of being good neighbours, mutual support goes a long way and true friendships rare to find.If can make some money along the way so much the better.regards lex ;o) | ![]() lex1000
17/4/2007 09:26 | Thanks for your support lex i,m sure i speak for alot of holders on here, it looks like a drop on low volume and an opportunity some have rightly taken to top up, good luck with o/t looking very good. Will send you email soon my friend.............. | ![]() wbjunior
17/4/2007 09:15 | Don't think we've seen drop like todays in ages well not MPH anyway.sp was taken up quickly these levels thinner volumes and from memory 172p-175p close include what thought were 10k x 2 rollovers.Thoughts were mms want absorb sells before next leg up.Todays fall was not in the script but we do know trend of mms relieving the bored and weaker holders of their shares.Particulary lower down for Funds to fill their boots.Would hope MPH holds 165p mid, needs hold 160p and view genuine buying opportunity. In effect what mms are doing and doing so cheaply @ 163p.Uptrend still intact trading 150p-175p.Impartial views of an ex-MPH holder.Good luck holders and would like to see you trading 200p+.Hope so.aimvho.DYOR. looks like treeshake, stock gets bought up share price goes. | ![]() lex1000
17/4/2007 09:07 | Yes buying opportunity without a doubt, fill yer boots as I use to say................. | ![]() wbjunior
17/4/2007 09:03 | Few more points and I am in top-up territory. Haven't done that with MPH since 'old money' days. | kneath
17/4/2007 09:01 | Whats happening guys? 5% down on no news. Is this merely a tree shake? Canadian redwood if you ask me! | kneath
17/4/2007 09:00 | tree shake no worries, you came back and lost all our gain dan, go back on holiday.lol......... | ![]() wbjunior

16/4/2007 08:31 | Good morning wbj.Often refer shares trading 25p levels with 12.5p mid points. If you follow share analysis by Fingersxxd as I do, MPH is no stranger to trading this way. MPH is currently trading upper end of 150p-175p.One suspects mms moved here to soak up some more sells before next leg up 175p-200p with 187.5p mid point. All very similar to o/t.I am as convinced as one can be that MPH is worth north of 200p (potentially well north of 200p) and expect to see trading nearer to levels you have previously predicted. In other words well worth the wait and holding.regards lex. | ![]() lex1000 |
