hi tufty,
nice to speak to you mate, long time.
been doing well for the last 2/3 years, not so brilliant last 6 months but sold HMY last month after holding for 3 years (smart move).
i've been vary wary of small caps this year but my favourites for what i see as very limited downsides but potentially significant upsides are CFL and more recently LNR.
i hasten to add, i am not recommending these as buys for anyone else or am i interested in anyone else's opinion on them.
apologies for off topic, i won't post on here again but felt i needed to speak up for WBJ - he's a decent guy.
good luck to you and all MPH holders - i like to see pi's make money..

Most the holders now gone off this thread. The co has a number of operations, and made a few hundred thouisand profit after tax. Now clealry they aretn all making money!

Mangement have clearly misled investors here. As for taking the co private well why arent they buying stock big time now!

wbj did the right thing getting out.

I donmt trust mangement they have put a spin on horrendous results this could fall a lot further yet.

As for the concern by Morris well I think he is trying to prevent his holding depleting further.

Anyway, I want to know who designed these boxer shorts. Should they be on sale in a family store like Aldi?

Could get interesting now that the last Bull aka WBJ has finally capitulated, sold the lot and left the building.

don't they say that in purchasing stocks one should always "buy the management".....doesn't instill confidence of new buyers here if they apply this rule...

still holding for the divi, down about 50%...only neg Iated by fact I'm up over 70% in DGO...i should have stuck to all oilers.

Taffee, I do agree MMs are using any pretext, however thin, to perform a smash and grab on stocks, hurting primarily private investors.

See eg HMY, which I have bought. Slightest of slight warnings, hammered 30%! Conveniently two funds upped their holdings as PIs were scared out.

I would however argue that the smash in this (MPH) instance looks justified by the market action. And I can't at the moment see any great grab going on....

oh yes...lse is the only stock exchange in the world which won't speak to private investors

I'm not saying he is not, just that he gave the impression of having a 'source' which appears totally unfounded and I wish to make my point.

I also feel fustrated that uk market makers seem determined to crush private investors...some of the stock bashing recently has been unprecedented.uk stocks are cheapest in the world right now(true),yet they are still bashed and crushed...wish the nasdaq had taken over lse

end of rant

taffee...you seem to be trolling round a number of threads venting your anger...what gives fella? I've always respected your views, whats changed, chill out.

I've always found wbjunior to be honourable.
