The Ross - Keep up the good work on chasing the brokers , company directors and updating us on what's going on here !

Merry Xmas to everyone here who is unfortunate holder of MHG.....maybe in 2013 this may rise like a phoenix and get relisted or taken over !

Equator exploration have a shareholders liason group fighting for fair value and not to be gobbled up--sadly I'm part of that too! anyway it was set up with one main email which people contacted so that they could stay in touch and continue to put up a solid front. we've had a few wobbles but it has worked quite well. it turned out we held 10% of the company--no resolution yet though.
maybe that would help with updates and solidarity etc against MHG?

MP,

If your broker allows certificates, might it be possible to change your holding to certificated, and then you will be on the register?

I presume it's possible, don't know, so maybe worth asking.

Whilst not listed they could make use of the RNS plus service.

Also MP this is a good example as to why you may wish to maintain a direct communication line with relevant parties.

Something to think about.....how would be updated as PIs on developments by the company if our shares were bought through nominee accounts rather than as certificates in our own names?

Actually MHG is removed from ADVFN too. If you try and get a quick quote on the front page it's not there. I haven't got a bookmark for it on this new laptop, and had to go through google to find this thread! It pours when it rains.
Still have a few, but kinda wrote them off a few months back.
It would be interesting to see what happens. BEIA must be livid, and working hard to resolve matters. They could end up with it, however it would be at a cost to shareholders and as there appear to be a lot of directors/insiders holding they'd be hard pressed to get it except via administration. Accordingly I think the directors will do their utmost to get this re-listed... anywhere initially, then perhaps back in the UK eventually. An illiquid market may be a good thing, as it will keep shareholders locked in until they can sort the requisite funding out. There's no point in selling for 'virtually nothing' after all.

I don't mean to knock but you really have question an investment firm that promotes capital fundraising via market listings but can't hold on to its own quote because they failed to raise the finance in time..

MHG has now been removed from LSE site.. however prior to it going it seems someone else managed to confirm similar to EDJ.

"Mazz Hi hope you are well ,yes i called yesterday the broker and the call was returned in the afternoon by the finance director have to say very smart as we all know sometimes brokers dont bother ,but he JPdid he explain they failed to get the finance in time and and AIM tules were applied ,they still there they havent gone bust they many options one of them relist again priority ,but we will be advised soon"

Think thats about all we can say for now and this is of course someone elses words. So IDMOR and I suggest everyone else tries as well. Afternoon all. R

A week yesterday the notice of cancellation advised that shareholders and creditors would be updated in a few days, so you should have received some guidance by now. Perhaps you should pursue this with the nomad.

The trouble is I've taken all the profits, so the remainder of my portfolio looks 33% down on a trade basis, I know Polo has 2 or 3 great prospects and will show a great profit in 1-2 years others also will do as well at some point if they do not do a Merchant House.

I've never been frightened to take a loss either, but this "time" I have no control over that luxury.

I just hope I will have a say in the matter of timing.

Cheers,

€z

Ez,

Very hard to judge when to sell or indeed buy shares, i dont truly think anyone ever calls it spot on, and i am including myself in that. I invest as opposed to trade, so daily/weekly/monthly share price movements dont matter to me.

There is a golden rule mate, nobody ever went skint taking a profit..

These threads are full of well meaning advice, but there will of course also be a minority of people whos advice is to suit their own agendas. Do your own thing mate, then you only have yourself to blame.

Thanks George, the main problem is the financial adviser who wants to sell all my shares off(I might have some faith, but the last FA held on to my LLoyds shares as they crashed from£6.20 to 63p.) my long term POLO, SXX from 3p, Wolf from 20p ETherapeutic and one or two other that I've been in and out of profitably.
I would not mind selling them, but as you know, it has to be at the right time.

Just had a chemo session so I'm off for a nap.

Thanks for your concern mate.

Cheers,

€z

Ezlington,

My thoughts and those of several others no doubt are with you during this traumatic period of your life. The shares dont matter mate, you concentrate on getting well.

Ezlington.. first off just to say truly sorry to hear that and I'm sure people will heed your warning.

We generally dont mention the other character you eluded to as they are a none holder and have spent the last 2 years on a campaign due to them losing money here a while ago.

On the shares front and I think going forward our focus may need to be toward BEIA and people such as James Keane etc..

As for your trouble with the shares i'd genuinely contact Merchant House Group or phone BEIA and ask to speak to someone in regards of this. If they are planning on doing what they say they are you'll need to transfer your shares anyway for your online accounts etc and then maybe inform the company (due to being delisted) that you wish to transfer the shares to another named individual for that holding.

Only way I can see due to the shares being controlled by the company now.

People correct me if I'm wrong or there's another way round it. R
