I recognised Dr Rob Buckman does he work for MMG..?

And is he still alive...he used to be on telly as much as Tony Slattery another one who has disappeared.

Re the prostate cancer vaccine, MMG "...to continue its preparations for the commencement of a Phase II trial" sounds disappointingly vague and that they're "...in discussions with the University of Southampton and Cancer Research Technology to obtain these data" sounds sinister - is there some dispute?

And the lack of anything specific on Ruthenium also sounds disappointing to me.

On the other hand, everything proceeding to plan and no bad news sounds like good news...

Wonder if this will bolster confidence, or if we'll see some bailing out today.

3 buys and 1 possible sale.

I think many times over the years the general market as tanked and MMG have risen, it must be seen as a safe haven LOL.

I agree with your post boiinvest, EK is very good but in hindsight 300p was a good point to leave. I learned a lot from MMG's share price and taking into account Chart resistance points is one of the things i now look for.

I got caught out by Evils 'double bluff' at 270p (ish) and bought more but sold out at 240p ish. Over all i made some good money (£4k !) on the spike but gave some of it back on the last fall 85p - 30p).

I as you know :-) kept an eye on MMG as i do beleave it as some good technology with a chance that one or two ! may come good. Although that chance is becoming slimmer by the week as they use up the money. But on a risk reward basis and the fact that i am playing with MMG profit its good to be back in.

regards.

somewhere on an old computer i have some email exchanges with david best from about 10 years ago... his patter was so slick...

a cautionary tale about the dangers of investing in jam tomorrow ventures on aim if ever there was one.

i actually made money on mmg - about 60 quid if i remember :-) so not bitter on my own behalf - but feel for those who were sucked in and sucked dry

:-)
I know there are many on this board who lost much more than the profits I handed over to EK.

Benny, i doff my cap to you, "£1k per point with an avge opening price ~90p"
What a good feeling that must have been as it rocketed to 300p WOW,

One of the better quotes out there IMO,

From the late Sir John Templeton, investment guru:

"'Its different this time' are the most expensive words in the english language"

has michael walters said anything lately?

perhaps the question should be rephrased: has michael walters said anything worth hearing lately? or ever...?

I made loads as it went up - had about £1k per point with an avge opening price ~90p. Closed them all as it dropped from 300p to 275p, with enough profit to pay off the mortgage, then got greedy and was fooled by EK when he announced on this very board that he was finding it difficult to buy.

Such an obvious ploy!

Somehow I managed to convince myself several times on the way down that although the last one hadn't been the time to go long again, now was the bottom.

And of course, down it went again.

I suppose I've never completely lost faith, and have recently bought in again, avge 7.5p, so still slightly underwater, but ever optimistic.

Good luck all. Maybe this time things will be different (famous last saying...)

Benny, I think about 5-6 years back MMG collapsed to these sorts of levels then there was a very sudden rise into the 20s, and indeed it moved up much higher. It's interesting how the share price has oscillated over the years, largely dependant on market sentiment, yet the prospects for this technology incubator must have remained much more steady. Have a look at how BTG (Ticker BGC) is valued and you can have an idea of what nearer MMGs market cap could be and that translates to a share price of 150-200p, which it was about 2 years back.

I can remember it getting to about 300p in Spring 2005 and Evil Knieval starting shorting it, and it rapidly fell. I lost considerable money during that.

lol 5 - is that his email signoff?

cbeadle, that's what I was thinking. Must be valued in the £100m's, 150p minimum once there's something to sell to a pharma company. What are they paying these days for pipelines?

I guess on the one hand they're desparate for new products, on the other, they know minnows aren't going to come by funding easily.

This is going up big time by the look of both the charts and fundamentals.

Two promising routes for cancer treatment, and Mkt Cap still well under £10m - If they announce even any sort of promising collaboration they should start to take off from this level
