They haven't really said. There's a bit about it in the annual report I think, so they are well aware. If they can access ai themselves it could help them, but if the AI products will be fine by the likes of Google and specialist companies leaving little room for MGP.I think AI is still years off being in common use. It will need to be tested for each complaint, and there are bound to be problems along the way, and grey areas where people are still needed.

New to the share but haven’t invested yet. Like the financials but my worries would be the low barrier to entry for competitors and AI.
Radiology is one area where AI Will really come into its own particularly given the shortage of radiologists.
There is good evidence in the literature that it is as good as if not better than the human eye for example in CT scans and chest x-rays.
Is the company involved in developing or using AI?

Bangkok is the city most in danger of deadly coronavirus because it gets so many travellers from China, as scientists warn LA, New York and London are all at risk
Academics at University of Southampton mapped global threat using travel data
Bangkok, in Thailand, is most at risk. One case has been confirmed there so far
Sydney, Melbourne, LA, New York, Dubai and London are in the top 20

Yes, but, this company is a UK based operation. Your ramp suggests otherwise :-)

im thinking of longing MGP

Coronavirus will incease the usage of MGP xray scanning so expect further rises here. Also a positive statement will help sentiment IMHO.

There seem to be c. 40000 radiologists and radiographers in the NHS, so once MGP employ them all revenues should be c. 500m and the share price on a 20PE about 20 quid. Then there's the rest of the world.

Just looking at the bull case :)

Looks like a shrewd buyer has come in and mopped up the stock of stale bulls.

Been buying here and just added some more now. Nice update today which should provide confidence to the market to continue re-rating the stock higher. One of the particularly pleasing things was the rate of growth increasing from the interims so perhaps a sign of building traction.

Can only have been one of these players

Liontrust Investment Partners LLP - 12,960,650 11.67
Prudential PLC - 10,432,000 9.39
CBPE Nominees Ltd - 7,270,551 6.54
Strategic Equity Capital PLC - 6,728,538 6.06
GVQ Investment Management Ltd - 6,255,038 5.63
River and Mercantile Group PLC - 5,698,475 5.13
Artemis Investment Management LLP - 5,568,394 5.01
Standard Life Aberdeen PLC - 5,029,392 4.53

Trades of that % of the issued capital are ofet the precursor of a significant move in share price Let's see if that's the case here. Given that there is no evidence of an trading weakness, the balance sheet is strong and this has serially lagged the market, let's hope it is the precursor of a movement up. It continues to be regarded as a staffing agency rather than a business with (some form of) a moat

Decent update. Revenues look slightly ahead of mkt forecasts and margins holding up. Seems to still Beale to recruit. Valuation looks reasonable for a company which keeps churning out growth and cash flow. Scope for increased dividends unless they can find further investments.

Doesn't need me to talk it down as you are implying. I am long. Have owned for a couple of years. I am offside. There seems to be constant selling between 150p and 160p despite the change in sentiment and the fact that MGP's financials look solid. Ergo, the fear that AI will eat its lunch is a plausible explanation for continual failure to break above 165p. I note further potential selling today.

mammygram - do you have inside knowledge or is your "may contain" comment designed to influence the market?

Just a thought you may wish to consider.
