I can't see Morrisons forking out 182m for the company and then paying 16000 redundancy packages some in the region of 20,000k

Jaknife,I think the disquiet comes about because PWc were also advisors to the lenders as well as the administrators.Not saying that anything wrong happened, but it wouldn't be the first time that one part of an institution put companies into administration whilst another part of the same institution made money from that administration. Think of RBS a few years ago !

EG group don't appear to want to pay another £1-2bn for Boots, closer to the asking price. And they didn't want to outbid Morrisons for MCLS.
