08/5/2022 16:01 | I hedged the hell out of this share, and what I mean by hedging, is at the first 100% gain, I took the profit, and moved it to something very safe, then, the next 100% I did that again. So theoretically, I'm 200% up hedged. Armatures like jackknife, in the game 30 year + still shorting aim shares on IG, following TW and the likes.. I actually don't mind TW, like bulls and bears... However, professionally know, they story is not done. Ride the tranches. Hedge. Enjoy life... never go all in... so when blue balls says "you own 1% of nothing" I own 200% of everything, and still think there is hope here. Don't have time, to waste my time talking to fools... this has been a great journey, it's now better the the dep trail for engagement!!! | albert arthur

08/5/2022 15:18 | No one will be buying the ‘entire issued share capital’ - why would they? Any interested party will be buying assets from the administrators of the failed PLC and its subsidiaries, and leaving the PLC and its subsidiaries with the debts, for the administrator to work through. Eventually the administrator will make a final distribution to debt holders. If any balance remains after all assets have been sold and all debts have been paid it will be paid to shareholders (spoiler: this will be nil, nothing, zero). Then in due course MCLS PLC will be struck off the register of companies and you will either be able to use your physical share certificates for toilet paper, or your broker/platform will put you out of your misery and summarily remove your holding from your account and you can pretend the sorry episode never happened | squeamish1
08/5/2022 15:07 | And unfortunately it's extremely unlikely that the 'assets' of the business will be anywhere near enough to discharge the liabilities (eg the 170mill of Bank debt for starters). | apfindley
08/5/2022 14:48 | The two offers on the table are: Issa/ASDA pay off the debt in full in return for the company. Morrison's take on the full debt in return for the company. In both cases the shareholders get absolutely nothing, the shares have absolutely NO Value what so ever. | loganair
08/5/2022 14:35 | Very interesting, thanks JakNife. And that ultimately assumes that once all assets have been sold and all liabilities have (to the extent possible) been satisfied, then McColl's Retail Group Plc would be formally liquidated and its shares would thus cease to exist. Also from what you wrote I learned that just because an asset happens to serve as security for a loan, does not mean that that asset can't be sold - it still can be, it just means that the cash proceeds of the sale must then immediately be applied to pay off the very loan which had been secured by the original asset. | rookieswingtrader2020 |
