GAITHERSBURG, Md., July 30, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- MaxCyte, Inc., (LSE: MXCT, MXCN), a leading provider of cell-engineering platform technologies, today announced the pricing of its upsized offering of 13,500,000 shares of common stock at an initial offering price of US$13.00 per share (the "Offering").

GBP/USD is reported at 1.3936 as per BBC...I get the feeling that there may be some weakness in the share price Hope not !

Priced at the bottom of the range & then got smashed in the first few weeks. Took 6 months to get above the IPO price and then it’s been cruising higher since. I think 99% of US investors ignore an IPO unless it flies out of the blocks

Certainly possible, what happened with renx it dropped then the US took it back up? Certainly took some time to get going.

I agree, the only reason I said risk to the downside is that the price range of $11.50-13.50 doesn't give much room for upside vs AIM at £9.50. If it prices above the range then clearly it'll fly tomorrow morning, but if we get a $12.50 there will be weakness. Not long until we find out!

I reckon it will price near the upper end - shareholders here much higher quality than the renx register as far as American perceptions go. I think (hope?!) you are wrong about the overnight risk to the downside but we'll see in the not too distant future and differing views make a market : ). And in reality I have no idea what might happen. GL any holders.

Interesting to see where they price, I don't expect it to be the lower end of the range but that's always a possibility, and it happened with RENX last year. The AIM listing has followed a really similar path to RENX, in that it rose to around 20% above the top of the announced price range before getting chopped back. As an overnight trade the risk is to the downside, for long term holders none of it matters a jot!

Just listened to the nasdaq roadshow presentation. Thought they explained the company well and talked through various growth avenues for the company going forward beyond just its customers taking their programs through to commercialisation

Looking forward to Friday!

I think its a perception thing Nimbo. A new listing which is just offering secondary doesnt go down well - perception being that existing investors are dumping shares on people who know the company less well. They needed to do some primary to get around that...but its a good sign that they've kept the amount relatively low.

I'm hoping for a typical 30% day 1 bounce and say $15-$20 share price within a week or so, and therefore taking the UK shares to the say £12-£15 range

Its interesting that all shares being sold are primary - 16% shareholder Casdin not interested in taking profits yet seemingly despite being in since c.1.50 fund raise

Trident - you need raise some cash if you're going to IPO. Direct listings with no capital raised dont go down well. Hence them raising the minimum they can get away with
