FTSE 100   Click chart for streaming TECHMARK   Click cart for streaming.   Far East close Nikkei -53  HK +158 Pre market futures Dow -25,   S&P =2.2 ,  Nas -4   UK FTSE  -10   (Click here for the latest CNN Futures)     Again a mixed to negative start on today's markets with lower US futures.  The US had made 2 straight days of gains and it was strong at market close so I feel a 3rd day of gains is probably on the cards. Also I would not be surprised to see the FTSE make some gains this afternoon despite some suspicious opening market maker futures.  Barratts house builders brought out figures at the top end of expectations and a rosy outlook for the future. Oil shares will be under the spotlight with a meeting by OPEC to set production levels ...... Best of luck to you all,,,, David

Made a nice 100 on the daily FTSE - now flat waiting for US direction

Went long LOG, BARC and ARM this morning - stops in and off to a meeting - come back and found I've had my best day so far this year, and it's only lunchtime !

Anyone any idea what happened around 12.10 to cause the FTSE to rocket ahead - was it just the US futures ?

SDAWSON,think log might test 700 again today,L2 strong,looking to short on weakness,its quiet an erratic stock,can catch you out very easily,but at least its never a boring stock,definately keeps me on my toes

Hmmmm Still quite a few buyers around, I would not be suprised to see the DOW futures bounce back from that level..
