I just think patience is required with this one. MERE pays a dividend of 8p per year, which the management would not have reinstated this year if they didn't think it was sustainable.

Meanwhile, the sale of IZD earlier this year derisked the balance sheet so that the company did not have to come back to the market with a dilutive fundraising; in fact, they did the opposite when they offered to buy back shares at 120p earlier in the year.

Today we have had quite a bullish statement from peer IERE about commercial property in France and Germany, so sell if you need your Xmas money but I don't think the recent weakness on low volume is anything to be concerned about. IERE's outlook statement from today's results:

"As the economic recovery gains more momentum, property returns are expected to improve. The Investment Manager has identified France and Germany, currently our two main markets, as attractive prospects for above-average property performance. Evidence from recent sales, and the active asset management of our property portfolio, confirms that these markets offer the right balance of liquidity, transparency, income performance, low volatility, and potential for capital growth."

Well, looks like my buy at 86.9p yesterday stopped the rot.

Those 'sells' on PLUS at 88p were buys.

Also, if you scroll back through the posts you can see that the management did a share buy back at around 120p not so long ago, so shows you what they think MERE are worth. Would they have done that if they thought the shares would be almost 50% lower in the future?

Problem with this share it seems is that it appears to move on low volume. The next time they announce a dividend (which should be within a few months) then it won't take many buys to take this back over a pound, in my opinion.

Yes the 9% dividend is attractive isn't it.

I'm hoping their aren't any significant tenant defaults..

Yeah, I got a similar price. I can't see the management slashing the dividend after having just reinstated it this year. They will have been conservative about the kind of divi that they can afford, anyway.

Presumably, it is just some of the market makers having a bit of fun since I noticed that the sells earlier were all AT trades.

Not sure but it looked like a few small sells did it.

I bought some more just now and the price I got was 87p each.

I heard these were paying an 8p per share dividend. Anyone know why the drop this morning?

L2 looking the best it's looked for a while and now the online limits are more favourable. 2 weeks ago you could buy 30k+ and only sell 500, Now you can sell upto 5k.

Not a great statement. Ongoing issues with leasing. Also has chunky exposure to Spain. Not surprised with the sell off. Decent enough value though at current levels.

335k Trade - Negotiated - 1% of the Company in one transaction yet nothing for months!

Thats the highest average daily volume for over a year in ONE trade!

Is this the start of a possible buyout - should hopefully be an RNS - anything as the paint has dried and I have nothing to watch with this one

Famous last words indeed.

This might be a good time to revive the 122p tender offer from May. They offered to buy 14.99% of shares in issue and only got take-up of 4.72%.

I don't think the dip can last - buys far outweighing sells on PLUS and LSE. Famous last words, I know, but it's a steal under 100p.

The spread has gone from the usual 5p down to 2p. Are they trying to get sellers or do they have a large overhang? Ideas anyone

slowly rising here. I usually find that a share is a good buy when it dips below its 200d m.a.
