Hi there, eventually found my login and been reading some good posts recently so thanks for those. I also have my shares in Computershare, the category when looking at my holding says certificated, does that still mean they are held as CDIs? or do i have to use a Crest (apologies for being a right noob as only ever dealt via online brokers)

Ref ridicule: Thus i'm assuming i can trade these as per your post based on 1% trade value and £25 fee.

By the way, the computershare assumption is that the new shares will initially trade at 1/5th the suspension price of the old shares but the market will determine their true value

Thanks budgethound. i HAVE NOW SPOKEN TO cOMPUTERSHARE AND THEY SAY THE BENEFIT OF GOING WITH THEM IS NO ANNUAL HOLDING FEE BECAUSE THE INVESTMENT REMAINS IN cdiS. Sorry, I had Caps lock on.
This is a benefit because a telephone trade via computershareimmediately transfers the holding from CDI to Swedish share at the price the Swedish share was at the time of the CDI deal. Computershare charges are 1% of trade value + £25 for telephone trade or 1% of value for on line trade with a minimum £20 charge for small holdings.

doxford, I agree that absolutely anything is possible. At least with the share transfer, all of the investors are equal now which is good news.

Predictions,
Anything, absolutely anything is possible here. The 'bad attitude' from the management to us small investors seems to have been quite deliberate and rough shod. Like everyone else I do hope it comes good in any shape or form at long last and we are given back at least the delist price. Anything above that would indeed be a very pleasant surprise.

Canny Lass, I have always taken a screen shot of my TDW holdings along to several AGM's and EGM's just incase there are any questions at the front door. It proved worthwhile once particularly when entitlement to raise your hands at the meeting when voting - not that it would have defeated the proxy votes however!!

declanmclaughlin This is all happening a rush. I still have my shares in a nominee account with Jarvis. They have written to me today, giving me until 12 January to elect to have my CDIs listed on the Swedish stock exchange with their Swedish broker partner. Wait for it! The charges are:

Minimum £25 to deposit
Minimum £25 per trade
Minimum Custodian fee £3+VAT per month or £36 +VAT per annum even if they just lie there?

Well done Matra, what a way to look after long suffering shareholders.

As my shares are already in a nominee account Jarvis will register them in my own name. The resultant Scheme shares will then be issued through a Corporate Sponsored Nominee Service offered by Computerserve. These charges if any are still subject to investigation by me.

I suggest you get your broker involved asap!

Hi, I have a share certificate which i requested from my broker at the time of de listing.
Do i need yet to register again with a broker or just hold onto my certificate as i wont be trading any time yet...

Canny lass, no they only take your name when you arrive. you dont need to prove you're a holder

My MTA stock is held in various TD Direct Investing accounts. If I intended to attend the EGM this Thursday do I need to acquire any documenataton from TD to verify that I am a genuine holder of this stock.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just got this from Beaufort;

CORPORATE ACTION : MATRA PETROLEUM PLC
The company has announced its intention to create a new holding company domiciled in Sweden by way of a Scheme of Arrangement on the basis of 5 Matra Petroleum AB New Shares (CDI) for each Matra Petroleum Plc Ordinary 0.1p Share previously held. The Scheme is expected to become effective on 18th January 2017 subject to shareholder approval being obtained at meetings to be held on 12th January. If approved dealing in the old shares will close on 13th January, & New CREST Depositary Interests are due by 1st February 2017. Corporate Actions Department

Barclays have written to Matra to find out about proposed CDIs and if can hold them .As of yet no reply from Matra

Obviously I would be very interested in any feedback from anyone attending he meeting. Having 'written off' this investment once it delisted anything I get back will be a welcome bonus.

matra boy, their stated intention had been to achieve 2600bopd by 2018. However I wonder though if the excellent drilling results from the four wells in June 2016 have highlighted an area of the oil field that is particularly productive which has enabled them to focus their drilling campaign and deliver significant additional output. Once this was discovered, this may have also formed the basis of the business case with the lender to demonstrate why they were confident they could achieve the additional output and convince them to postpone the loan repayment.

doxford, I agree its been a long journey (I've been here since 2010) but I'm absolutely convinced this will come good. We'll make sure that the right questions are asked on Thursday.

interesting speculation and analysis. Having been so disappointed with the near total silence for the last three years I am sure that Thursday will at last lift the covers for us all to see the real MTA. I know that given a chance those who can get to the meeting will ask all the right questions Re wells, production, next Plan A, an so on. Can't wait it has been a long journey so far and I hope it does actually lead somewhere.

Im sure i read somewhere, a long time ago matra's plans were to have production figures around 3000bopd within a 3 year timescale or am i letting my excitement run away with me here.. budget ive always shared your enthusiasm for this company and believe there are bigger things to come.
