budget - With everything that's gone on here is there any reputation to damage? I can't imagine anybody letting Barskiy work in an executive role in a listed public company again.

Just remember MB/Alltech are at least even, so they have no skin in the game. They could put Matra plc into administration and take the Matra USA shareholding via a third party.

super, the fact that you constantly forget to mention is that the price of oil dropped by 70% and in any sector of business would have had a major impact on any business strategy. If it had not dropped and we were 3 years into the process, then I would agree with you - but the focus has been on survival.

I can only assume that you dont work in industry and have not had the opportunity to run a company otherwise you would know that it takes years and not months to build a company in this current type of environment

Budget I prefer to lose all than sell under delist price .So thank you no thank you unless you are willing to pay out delist price . It's not about the money it's about being taken for idiots .Assuming your scenario 2018-That's 5 years effectively delisted .What is matter with you folk

Let's not forget that there are two strands to Matra's strategy - one is to develop the existing asset (with a target of 2800 bopd by 2018) and the other is to merge or complete an RTO to get a listing.

The latter will create the opportunity for a listing much earlier but even if MB is not successful in securing the right deal at any point over the next 3 years, they still have their existing asset to work with and they can still get to a point where they can list providing their development programme carries on at the current pace.

super, like calm, I'll also buy your shares because patience is clearly not a virtue of yours. Name your price as you clearly think they're worthless. Surely better to get something for them?

matra - Fair comment, that's probably what will happen here. One of those goes bust one day and re-emerges under a slightly new name the next bankruptcies.

Beggerman no money was offered for our shares. The company was basically bankrupt. I believe it's now owned by one of Kazakhstan's richest families. So my money was lost. My point is all this talk of press and finacial authorities will end in nothing. That's If our money is lost here. Which to my mind is not as of yet. I dont comment much here because really there's nothing to say. Can I truly say this will all work out ok. NO but in the meantime I'll just wait.

I actually thought Vlad and Max were based in Houston, the address in London is just an accommodation/answering service. The only company officer based in the U.K. is Ben Harber the company secretary.

Matra - I take it when Max Petroleum was taken private the shareholders were offered compensation for the cancellation of their shares, all be it less than the original purchase price? Our point is that we have been denied access to our funds for nearly three years. Both Ted and Mikeygit have made approaches to the media in the last week, so they are not just whingeing about the situation.

Ted it's you that need to relax and take a deep breath. You spew out the same rhetoric week in week out and have done since banskiy came on board. You and your followers on here are in for a rude awakening. I watched investors jump up and down scream and shout when they lost their money in desire petroleum a few years back. Nothing was ever achieved by that. I was part of the investors who lost money in max petroleum when it was taken private. Again a lot of irate investors screaming and shouting but again nothing was ever done about that either. It's the stock market. When it works we're all happy. When it doesn't some of us throw our teddies out the pram. As mike said. Deal with it

saulcom i agree, i would be very surprised if any journalist took any interest in Matra for the record i do hold a very decent stake here and have been a share holder for 9 years!!
