15/12/2023 09:16 | Most won't know that Venter was one of the two founders of Mast who brought Bordersley (mid 2019) to Coetzee, who then floated Mast off at a grotesquely exaggerated price (£23m mkt cap v only £2.6m of assets) benefiting Venter (with 10%) much more than Bordersley was really worth. Now that Bordersley has been written down to almost nothing and still not built, and the rest of Mast (built around it) is almost bust and tottering, any homourable man (as I'm sure Venter is) would do exactly what he has just done and given up almost all he thought he was worth to try to salvage it. So there is no reason to suppose he is more optimistic than anyone else. (in fact the hasty deal means he must be even less so) As for those who think the £2m will make Mast suddenly rich. It goes to the Pyebridge jv, not to Mast which stays as bust as before, while it gives up its 100% of Pyebridge (maybe £2.6m) in exchange, and then gets 25% (but only 10% for the next 5-7 years) of the jv. Overall no change in its value whatsoever - except the delays are taking it closer and closer to bust. £81,000 at the rate last June will only last one month. | lurker5

15/12/2023 07:38 | There's nothing at all wrong ; Pieter Krügel, CEO of MED, commented: "We are very pleased that Mr. Venter was willing and able to provide MED with a director loan, which shows his ongoing commitment to and support of the business. This loan will ensure that MED's short-term working capital requirements are met while we wait for the JV investment to be completed, as per our recent announcements." | z1co
