02/5/2018 19:34 | The 3 week trend here looks very good. Once 290 is cleared then next resistance looks to be 310. Anyone else got views ?? | moorsie2
02/5/2018 13:33 | With so many significant short positions still open at MKS it's only a matter of time before the first starts to close and the buying frenzy will kick into action and accelerate. I may have to add a few more here :-) | tlobs2
02/5/2018 07:41 | Ahh I thought that was what you might be inferring - Money overcomes all cultural and religious barriers believe me... I have seen some very unlikely bedfellows come together on the possibility of making money | moorsie2
01/5/2018 23:32 | Moorsie, having lived in Doha believe me, they regard M&S as Jewish and always will. | f1araway

01/5/2018 18:39 | Waitrose and Marks and Spencer Group Plc face a fresh threat. Coupe could move the Sainsbury brand more upmarket, and he will now control what is the U.K.'s second-biggest clothing retailer by volume. But given the competition hurdles, and the scale of the task of integrating Sainsbury and Asda, these rivals all have plenty of time to work on their response. They should make the most of it. | philanderer
01/5/2018 12:30 | Peel Hunt: The c10% price cut on popular products announced by Sainsbury’s post-completion, while positive for customers, will further intensify competition and increase the loss-making potential of online offerings further, pushing the new top three to focus on securing their traditional offline models. Ocado should take advantage of this distraction. Moreover, smaller players such as M&S and Co-op, not restricted by the Morrisons deal, should come on board with Ocado Solutions. | philanderer
01/5/2018 00:02 | They told their clients to buy last week ;-) | philanderer

30/4/2018 16:49 | 3 weeks and 1 day to results - expect a good steady rise back to 315-330 range | moorsie2
30/4/2018 15:30 | Seems ironic that the Hedge Funds were betting retail would go bust ... With the big squeeze generated by the Sainsbury news , It would be funny if attention was turned to the losses the Hedge Funds may face . Will any go bust? Highly unlikely ....how the fortunes change in a day | ignoble
30/4/2018 14:39 | will be interesting to see the short position at end of today and as the week progresses.. | moorsie2
30/4/2018 13:18 | Perhaps MKS will now merge with the Co Op and Poundland | buywell3
30/4/2018 13:10 | Careful - I completely agree! With BHS gone, HoF and Debs in trouble , Sainsbury's diluting their premium brand and their shares at a significant discount to fair valuation this is screaming value Add in corporate possibilities of either a Take out or a mega deal (JL or such) and a good dividend coming up then this share will have a very good next few months | moorsie2
30/4/2018 12:30 | MKS is the most interesting retailer at present as an investment opportunity. It is maintaining a low profile in these hectic times for retail. MKS used to be king of the retailers and still has a good name. So many must be eying this up. With the demise of BHS and others struggling, MKS must be a tempting recovery play. Rowe and Norman must have identified the challenge and opportunities by now. Including on line. Neither of them would be scared to take drastic corporate action. It is having the judgement to make the right move. Very optimistic here, M&S are a special iconic brand. To think MKS were £6.0 about 3 years ago. | careful
30/4/2018 08:40 | Huge volumes getting traded here. Almost a full days average in first hour! 750k of shares just gone through at 285 buy. Smart money is moving long here | moorsie2
30/4/2018 08:09 | Merge merge merge or be taken over....if the board don't have fresh ideas...stop rearranging deck chairs... | diku
30/4/2018 07:25 | MKS is my interest today, I have a position. With these mega deals in retail this is beginning to feel like a small corner shop. Size isn't everything. | careful
29/4/2018 22:06 | Agreed Moorsie2. If I was a deal doer that would be the deal I would do. | debsdowner |
