I am disappointed by this revelation.Just visited Marks in Liverpool and I have to say, not enthralled. Same old tired looking in places and quite expensive.Should we be concerned about our love affair with this 125 yr old institution? Well I think we should, it's days are numbered in my opinion as the company stands, don't be surprised with further rumours and eventual takeover of this once iconic retail penny bizarre.

Generally there is just far too much merchandise in the stores, there is no chance of selling everything. Also people are wiser now and save some money to get items and clothing in the sales. Next and Primark who do really well, still have an immense amount on their rails and shelves. It will all go in their sales, which in turn means we will not need to buy so much next winter.

M&S have such a wide range of stock, some do much better than others. Ladies bootie slippers have sold out in store and the children's onesies they are down to a just a few left. I came home and ordered a few things I couldn't get in a large M&S store which are going to be delivered to my small local M&S Christmas eve.
