Fall too much as Darrin intimated the other day LIDL and MARKS fastest growing supermarket..

Looks like MARKS growing faster than Sainsburys in last 12 weeks.

Data from the British Retail Consortium and KPMG showed Tuesday, showed that retail sales growth in the UK slowed in January. Total retail sales in the UK between December 31 and January 27 grew by 1.2% year-on-year, slowing down from growth of 4.2%.

£2.50 looks like te next level, unfortumately the cautious outlook weakened the share price and retail sales in general poor.

Last week we saw superdry slump to a new low and then bounce after news of an offer and today City AM now highlight Ted Baker may announce on store closures...



However like you I feel Marks is doing better than market.

How low can MKS go?
Nothing has changed.
I will be looking for a bottom around 220/225. A 30% upside then to the YTD high

Stuart Machin should never be allowed to present to investors again. How could such great Xmas trading numbers beating all records become such a disaster. 17% down since the numbers were announced is more than a bit of profit taking. I am even wondering if there is a problem we don't know about. You don't achieve record sales and keep profit forecasts the same without questions being asked. Hope he learns from this by May. That's my moan out the way for today.

MKS now -16% from the early january high. But consensus for interest rate cut in june hopefully.

Hi QANTAS,

Bit complicated without reading into the background and Mike Ashley's actual claim in detail.

However it appears on the surface Morgan Stanlsy been negligent in some form and Ashley forced out in some way.

Also Morgan Stanley hidden some documents which Ashley relies upon.

If MG have acted negligently towards MG he could be entitled to considerable compensation amounting to tens of millions, or hundreds of millions.

As Mike Ashley was prepared to offer as colateral his shares in Frasers on the deal the amount involved could be substantial indeed.
