I think we may still have warrant sellers because I cannot understand why anyone would want to sell now with so much news on the immediate horizon

More from kelsbells:

Note: $300m/$400m!!!

The key points haven spoken to Eric were pea won't be out probably until early Nov as they are finalising the metallurgy studies, and they want to get things right before they put out rather than rush as it's a big moment for the company, but he said they're very pleased with pea. Also said they may get some fresh drill results out next week before pea. If the right offer comes along they would take it, I said $300-400m and he said yep that would be a good result. Seems very keen on Ergama in fact that was lidya's preferred option before HM...how lucky did they get!

Hope they don't sell HM too soon, let's get maximum value a few more resource updates first, then listen to offers....imo

Gersemi,
Yes...can`t see them going into production.
Back in April this year Nevsun put a bid for Reservoir Resources 6 days after their PEA ... so anything is possible.

Well, 3 months without meaningful news must be the reason.
See how things go after the PEA.

Gersemi,

@15.2 g/t average and recovery 100%, mining operation of 250 days per year
MARL`S 30% would equate to roughly 100.000 oz/au per annum.
BUT, with PEA only days away I rather wait for it then to make any further wild guesses..

I think this is interesting (nicked it from LSE) and gives an indication as to the production levels of ore per day..

It's an email from Sandstorm in response to a poster about levels of ore and gold production based on Sandstorm's NSR of 2%:..Sands are forecasting between $5m-6m.annum NSR which does suggest HM could turnover around $300m per annum when up and running

;;;;;;;

Dear ---------------

Thank you for your email.

Our NSR royalty calculations are based on a 3,000 tonne per day operation at Hot Maden. We created our own resource internally and have made assumptions on grade and recovery based on our due diligence work. I am not able to provide any details of this internal study by Sandstorm.

With regards to your question of how good is Hot Maden, I won’t answer with one word but in general we have a high view of the asset. Given the robust grades, we expect the project to have positive economics and we think there is exploration upside beyond what Mariana has discovered.

My understanding is that Mariana plans to release the PEA this month so you don’t have long to wait before you get some additional information.

Best regards,

DENVER HARRIS, CFA

Vice President, Capital Markets, Sandstorm Gold Ltd.

anyone care to calculate how many oz of gold we could produce from 3000 tonnes of ore/day

Back in August I mentioned possibility of late RNS.
I am not sure what would be the rules for Dual listed shares, whether
simultaneous disclosure is required for material info like PEA.
First NI-43-101 for Las Calandrias was released @ 15.20 UK time.
That`s the only time I can think of.

Agree with Proton and Dilbert. Looks to me like part of a strategy which includes a profitable exit from HM? Glad I've got continuing exposure to the HM NSR via a holding in Sandstorm. The quality of the new acreage in Cote d'Ivoire remains to be seen, but GP is not known for buying a pig in a poke. Oh, wait a minute, what about Peru?

Just read on another board about a recent Sandstorm presentation (in Denver) in which the CEO talked about their NSR (2%) may total around $5m-$6m. If that is the case Sandstorm are expecting around 4000-4500 oz allocation (at around $1300/oz) = $5.5m. To be able to make such a prediction in a formal presentation does suggest they have some form of insight or informed knowledge about the potential output numbers from Hot Maden. On the 2% basis the total forecast output from HM when it's producing should be around 210k-220k oz per year...

MARL will be entitled to around 66k oz/annum...if costs/oz come in at around $500/oz then $86m-$33m = net profit of around $50m-$53m...of course there is initial capex costs but the payback should be around 2 years or less...

HM will be a cash-cow for those involved
