Smudgedan,

Thank you for a reasoned reply, quite unusual on this thread!

I know what MAC do, I also know that finance will be gained by Northfield, but at what price? If the subsidies are much lower then the return for finance needs to come from somewhere else. If it won't come from larger profits due to generous subsidies then it has to come from the bottom in terms of longer finance periods, raised rates of return will need to be covered from someone else's slice of the pie.
You don't think big finance is going to lend lots of money just to benefit MAC shareholders? They will get the best deal they can and if subsidies are lower then returns to Northfield and MAC are going to suffer as the finance will have guaranteed returns.

Secondly on Desborough I haven't looked at the planning in full just the snippet posted, but from that it would seem questions are raised about grid capacity because of a nearby solar farm. The major problem with solar is it is generated when it's need is less, it is at night the energy is needed. Grid capacity cannot take huge amounts of energy when it is not needed, that is why windfarms get paid to turn off the turbines (a major problem and cost to the country). So energy storage is an option but not cheap and again will take time.
Just because the locals seem favourable to the scheme doesn't mean the geography and infrastructure is. Have they got a grid connection agreement and for what output?

A solar farm is valued on the energy it can sell not the energy it can generate.

Trout.

3 reasons provided. 10 Bagger!!! Not my words.

1. Northfield solar is waiting for planning permission for 50MW sites.
2. Similar sites sold for excess of £60 million and MAC's stake would be worth £20m
3. Underlying business improving with larger size deals as shown on website.

Mkt cap should be £14m on solar planning approvals or 25p.

Don't go into hiding when it happens like some of your mates did before the last 100% here past month.

Oops looks like our ramper has gone into overdrive, my points were and are valid, firstly if you look back on this thread you will see that I said the same to Tara when the rampfest was going on, you can see what happened then.

You are all comparing solar values to other already in use sites (some in Europe), wake up a little will you... each site has a differing value due to each country's different subsidy regime and in this country the subsidies have been diminishing for several years.

The sale values are for owned sites, Northfield will have raised the money to develop through financiers and so either won't own the whole site (dilution from a farm in) or own the whole site, but have a lot of finance to repay, buyers won't pay top dollar if the site is effectively on HP for 15 years. Remember the returns to invest in renewable schemes are high to gain investors cash, so what is left for Northfield and right at the end of the line MAC? It will be years before they will ever have paid off the finance and actually own the sites and by that time they will probably be due a huge overhaul, upgrade or re-development.

I think the recent posts show the pump and dump, a fully owned site on the 1.6ROC being compared with a site not yet permited, without grid offtakes agreed or developed and one that will be on a much smaller subsidy scale.

The subsidies are what makes the cream in these investments and the subsidies are under lots of pressure, this from the Telegraph this weekend,

The sad and exposed troll i.e. Chris Holden whos been habiting here before MAC rose by 100% will now spend all his day loggin in and out with his hundreds of aliases to put green ticks against the deramping posts. Sad, Sad and Sad again. So don't think there's different individuals doing it - sorry if I've knocked your high horse to the deramping bashers if you thought otherwise. You have a troll friend i.e. Chris Holden eh!!!

2nd most active board - thank you. And all you lot will put MAC on the watchlist with the desborough solar farm decision any day now. Hundreds will have listened to the podcast on Friday night. Put your own podcast out to stop these hundreds from buying in. 3 reasons provided to justify "10 Bagger".

Treacle32, let's review the relative share price performance from last week's closing prices of mac and tgl to the year-end, and see which does the better. I am supremely confident that I am onto a winner, and you're not!

It is fact your agendas have been caught straight-away when trout from the Holden stable from CCE refers to 300K raised. What an idiot to not even able to find out and look at all the RNS and see over 1 million quid raised thus far. And then he puts lies that I referred to 300K raised when all my posts over 1 whole month show a further 300K raised.

Its a fact that it was posted from ADVFN podcast on Friday night that this is a 10 bagger with MAC's stake in Desborough alone worth 25p on the share price. Why don't you call them and get in touch if you feel jealous that you can't buy and your stocks won't do the same???

Ignore this woman at your own peril. She means business. Nice picture on Linkedin too. She's been there and done it and turned over $200m dollars doing just the same as doing now with Northfield and MAC.

Apolka Totth
Apolka has spent 12 years in energy development and finance at Agile Energy, Chevron Corp, HSH Nordbank and JPMorgan. Prior to founding Northfield UK Solar, Apolka originated and developed over 200MW of renewable energy projects in the United States. She has successfully completed $200 million of conventional and renewable project finance and equity transactions in wind and solar and was responsible for over $1.0 billion of asset-backed securitizations.

"Over £1 million quid has already been thrown in it over past 2 years".

- Just to finish off by saying they must have a full proof plan to take it all the way and Apolka making million and millions again. They wouldn't have thrown over £1 million quid in it already if they hadn't. These aren't funds raised from retail investors on AIM too. And that is a massive cue too!!!

Aww and MAC's stake hasn't been diluted by much at all with 3 big rounds of funding completed. From 33% to 28% thus far I believe.

I never once stated £300K raised - deramper with his own agenda.

All my posts over past month state a further 300K was raised in March this year.

Over £1 million quid has already been thrown in it over past 2 years. I rather follow the money than a bulletin board moron with his own agenda. They won't need to come to bulletin board morons for more funding too - the big players will take care off it.

As shown above it has completed funding 3 times already. 2 of the times it is for £300,000 and £500,000 respectively. Big players throwing big money at it and will continue to do so imo.

Joint venture company NUKS funding round completed, and commencing development of several large scale UK solar schemes.

Northfield UK Solar (NUKS) – November 2013
Joint venture company NUKS successfully formed and funded, and planning development of large scale UK solar schemes.

Northfield UK Solar (NUKs) – June 2013

Do some research and find out who the private backers are into Northfield. Ones eyes may pop out on the big players involved on top Apolka Totth's credentials.

The fact is it has been mentioned on Friday night about MAC being a 10 bagger. It is a fact the share price will spike big time to reflect MAC's stake when the Desborough solar farm decision is announced then the same on Normanton appeal.

Exactly the same massive spikes as junior miners have had in the past before getting the stuff out of the ground.

I'm not sticking around for years to see if they get build as many don't with miners example. Run with the facts in situ right now and all looks great.

I think Apolka and the big backers have got everything in hand as demonstrated.

She's proven it with $200 million of business in the same field.

Financing is no issue demonstable with the big hitters throwing hundreds of thousands over the past couple of years into the project.

Trout - some good points, well made.

It would clearly have been easier to progress Northfield a few years ago when the macro environment looked upon large scale solar more kindly.

However, there appears to be local support for the RAF Desborough Development, much more so than Normanton and regarding financing the project, this is what Marechale Capital do for a living.

It is worth reviewing the Shareholders register for Northfield. There are some sizeable players within the private equity field that hold alongside MAC. This type of development is pocket change for some of these guys, so I do not anticipate financing being an issue should planing permission be granted.

I also think all of this this needs to taken in the context of the current market cap of sub £1.5m, of course there is risk involved but I feel that at the current level the risk/reward ratio is favourable.

From the deals mentioned on the Marechale website, i am hopeful that the underlying business is improving, however we will see when the results are out at the end of the month.
