09/11/2008 22:19 | Hyper Al Hi, long time no see, after all these years on the threads. re - The banks are the ones who should take the blame Nothing is for sure what is going to happen to the company yet, but I HAVE SEEN once too often the same comments from the directors after the share have been suspended and eventualy there is no way out. I do not whish this to happen to the company, not only because shareholders loose their money but also cos I had followed MPH just like you for a long time now a good 13 years and I was managing a few bob ( some times it was a bit more) trading with the stock. I just have noticed today on one of my Credit cards, that usually were saying, minimum payment £5, THIS WEEKEND I reveived the statement, they have increased my Credit limit, but they have increased minimum payment it is now £25, though the balance has been much the same, ( I am certainly paying the full amount all the time), to me that means the banks are short of cash, and as you are saying they are the ones to blame for all the problems that we are experiencing individuals and small companies at the moment. -------------- re - I'm a bit surprised by your comments on this thread. My comments was a double meaning for " fivepounds " not for the shareholders And a few month ago I was defending the company maybe too strongly, cos I did not want to go under, thinking about the shareholders. ------------- re - I have had enough of banks! - I'm taking my money out of the system! You are not alone, I did that since mid-July, and although I still believe that the Stock market is a good place to make money, one can easily loose more than the shirt if ONE is not carefull . With time the market will return to normality and share price will be moving higher again, at the moment despite all that stimulation the economy is far away from the time to put the money back into shares, so time to look for bargains if posible companies with cash and being profitable, YES it will be time to be back to basics with the cash not speculation. Kind regards | master rsi
07/11/2008 22:10 | Master RSI I'm a bit surprised by your comments on this thread. It appears the only reason this one is down is because of the banks. I have followed this company for years, no I don't have shares in it, but I have always seen it as a sound business. The banks are the ones who should take the blame, not investors on this thread. "The Board is taking all appropriate measures to deal with the current challenging economic environment and is maintaining a regular dialogue with the Company's bankers, in common with most other businesses exposed to the retail sector." I have had enough of banks! I'm taking my money out of the system! | hyper al
07/11/2008 16:08 | fivepounds re - No doubt Master RSI saw this coming in his graphs!! Master RSI - 15 Aug'08 - 11:25 - 4533 of 4752 edit And still moving lower, MMs just making sure one can buy them cheaper, but no takers so far. Wonder what happen to the buyers on the day of the news, "momentis" included? There will be plenty of time to tuck them away at much lower price, the economy is in tatters and it seems around EUROPE are much the same, so no recovery in sight yet. -------------------- edited Now you may be 50% right | master rsi
07/11/2008 15:53 | Just noticed the shares have been suspended since the 4th. Most times those ocurrences mean bad news for share holders, specialy with the second announcement, pointing out the AGM comment (talking with the banks). I was not a holder for years but trading short term from time to time. my last chart with the downtrend below 3 moth ago ........ Master RSI - 8 Aug'08 - 09:06 - 4515 of 4751 edit BREAKING the TREND is HARD to DO | master rsi

05/11/2008 10:59 | MM has always been crooked as I've said many times. Shame he couldn't steer his obvious sales/dealmaking talents to a more profitable conclusion for someone else other than himself. Not the first time he has gone bust and fleeced others and probably not the last. | argy2
05/11/2008 10:56 | Tufty very sad it may have come to this, the bonus payments taken out by Morris should be investigated, but nothing will happen and he will probably cream of the assets if the company goes into liquidation. Fingers crossed that a refinancing package of sorts can be put together to safeguard the interests of existing shareholders. Wishing all holders a fruitful conclusion to the suspension ...............regar | wbjunior
04/11/2008 20:05 | eagle eye 4730 + ARGY2 4735 ---- You can be 100% sure that this creep MM has covered his backside -- and guess that he will emerge with all the DKNY separate company under his control, and leave everyone else to sort out the Marchpole s...t. One day I will be able to tell you how he destroyed completely his recent aquisitions by non payment of suppliers, and moving the moneies recd to finance the DKNY offer, leaving sub companies unable to pay bills. You have always ignored my BB comments so far but look back on what i have said..... | 1947jim
04/11/2008 19:37 | I'm an ex-shareholder here, so really sorry to see this happen. Companies sometimes come through this, but not very often. | paulmhammond
04/11/2008 17:22 | Shareholders disgracefully treated by Morris again and the sad thing is the FSA will do absolutely nothing as usual. Fully expect Morris to be running Marchpole as a private company in the next 6 months. Just another sad story in the total shambles which is our regulatory system and I am afraid there is nothing shareholders can do about it - unless you happen to know the creep Morris personally - in which case please give him a very bloody nose from me! Bill | billbarton
04/11/2008 16:52 | the good news is that some unloved large shareholders get shafted too! | taffee
04/11/2008 16:05 | Sad to see. Probably Atlas will pick up on the cheap under the threat of action for dodgy figures when they invested (perhaps). Thanks Mr Morris. Perhaps 2m more could have kept the company afloat a while longer, but unfortunately it moved into MM's pocket for the FABULOUS DEALS he did for Moda, Greenmark etc. This company has made some just plain stupid decisions, paying those bonuses one of them and the outlay on the new JCC London store another. | momentos
04/11/2008 15:52 | My money's on crooked Michael Morris picking up the best bits from the Receiver...it's not the first time and doubt it will be the last. Having cheated and lied to the City more than once now I think going Public again won't be an option.Hopefully his wife will now screw him on the divorce settlement seeing he has lost so much of their trust money put aside for the grandchildren | argy2
04/11/2008 15:48 | Taffee..... Probably by somebody close to the company with the bonus that you shareholders paid him ! All IMO of course. Just a passing comment not meant to offend anybody. | stevi1111
04/11/2008 15:37 | eagle eye...it gets snapped up for next to nothing | taffee
04/11/2008 15:36 | perhaps the fsa might like to investigate what looks increasingly like a disgrace | taffee |
