30/3/2007 12:09 | kpwuk-I had a lot of trouble with HSBC but i informed them of the RTM site,i would advise you to take a print of the details that should have been carried out on that site and on the RNS's and send them to idealing.HSBC sorted it out eventually and gave me £50 a free deal and an apology, they also said i could report it to the FSA and sent me the FSA booklet. | ![]() p@
16/3/2007 15:11 | theres a report out on it today but it doesn't look too promising unless theres a big U find on the Badja front. Only about a £1mill left in the coffers which will be sucked away soon me thinks. | sawbones
16/3/2007 14:41 | iDealing.com Has anyone else had problems with this co regarding Reefton shares or any other matter? I have been given the runaround by them for over 12 months with regard to Reefton. I still do not have certs or any way of gaining possession of my property from them. They do not answer e mails, including e mails direct to their mouthpiece Gary Duckworth. I have withdrawn half of my cash from my trading account and placed it elsewhere in order to demonstrate my dissatisfaction with them, they did not even reply when I informed them of this and my intention to take my trades elsewhere. Considering that my trades were large enough for them to advise me to apply for direct access to the order book, this seems rather a shabby way to treat a valued (sic) customer. Could anyone advise as to the correct course of action in order to force them to act? | kpwuk

26/4/2005 11:14 | New Islington, Manchester What's this? A giant game of Jenga? Actually, it's a giant plate of chips. This isn't another attempt to get schoolchildren to eat better, is it? Of course not. Come on, you know this one: it's a crazy building with a humorous visual twist... So it's got to be by Will Alsop! Quite right. Urban Splash has launched these homes by Alsop in the New Islington development in Manchester. Urban Splash is working with English Partnerships, Manchester City Council, and New East Manchester to create affordable housing on the 12ha site. But what has it to do with chips? Are we about to make a laboured connection between architecture in Manchester and the eating habits of the citizens of Coronation Street? Blame Will Alsop. His design team decided that the building looked like a pile of chips. Instead of making a regular rectangular block, Alsop Architects sliced the building horizontally into three storeys that angle and wiggle against each other, 'like chips on a plate'. And will it be coated in salt and vinegar? Funny. The building will actually be clad in a resin core, timber-veneered rain screen system, with black frame composite aluminium windows set into it. It's the first time this system has been used in the UK. So all the writing on the outside harks back to the days when chips came wrapped in newspaper? Now you're just being silly. In fact, the facade screen printed with names like Bombay, Istanbul and Yokohama pays homage to Manchester's history as a global exporter via the canal network. That would be the Manchester Chip Canal then. I won't dignify that with an answer. Anyone would think you had a chip on your shoulder.... Source: FX April 2005 @: | energyi

26/4/2005 10:58 | "It didn't start off as a plate of Chips. It started as a Block of Flats and BECAME a plate of chips," so says the somewhat tongue-in-cheek ad, full of Urban attitude. Developer Urban Splash has had a string of successes, in putting up some clever and appealing buildings, regenerating interest in some difficult urban areas. But this time, they may have stretched too far, being too creative in a "toppy market". What do you think? LINKS to ponder: 1/ 2/ 3/ | energyi
