Just went back to this post - since the share price has gone much lower so I can recalculate the prospective yield.

Bottom of page 22 of the presentation on their website says total divs payable in 2020 will amount to 21.7p.
Proposed annual 2020 dividends, excluding the special, is 17.85p being 7.8% on current offer price of 228p."


So 21.7/215 = 10% !

Are we sure ?

Looking to get a few of these; but this global epidemic isn't going to go away overnight, so perhaps plenty of time yet to wait for the best entry level.

On offer at 218p and we could see a short-term bounce; but could easily fall back to the £2 level as the AUM figure falls in line with the wider Market.

Added a few more these past couple of days during the sell off.
Pre-virus we were in breakout territory so looking for transparency around the forthcoming results to correct us upwards.

It hit the high then came off 2.5%, odd.I have a lot of these, far too many really, 22% of portfolio and I am happy to add a few more on weakness.

Added a few more at 239.1p. I suppose at some point i will start to also sell a few on the highs and not just buy the dips. Although probably after the results and hopefully at significantly higher prices.

Am still invested in prudential but am going to stay clear of MNG for time being

Rough figures.

(5%) holding in Tullow. reduction in valuation of about 150m
Equity securities and holdings 67,484m / Effect on MNG 0.2%

Against Total assets of 221,690m / Effect on MNG 0.06%

Basically what happened at Tullow will never be seen

But everything else in the market is going up, mainly, since the election....so as an asset manager the tide may be rising for them all...SLA, LGEN, MNG, AVIVA? Plus all such punchy yields to boot

Market quite rightly unconcerned by the extended gating of the property fund. Nice end to the week with MNG up 4.2p today, with 2,697,254 shares changing hands in the closing auction at 248p. Looking good for a new high of 250 next week.
