05/3/2024 17:07:44 | Makinbucks….the problem with PruFund is its design for smoothing which is unique and therefore difficult to get platforms to develop a product specific feature. It is also not a product that can be sold direct under MiFID regulations - customers need to be advised despite the demonstrable track record of the multi asset fund producing less volatile returns than many funds sold on platforms. There is an unsmoothed OEIC version of most PruFund derivatives some of which are carried by platforms….but they don’t get much promotion probably because MNG prefers to sell the WP version. MNG has implemented PruFunds on its own platform (although that may be for sale). | 1jat
05/3/2024 13:58:09 | The thinking towards the platform and the distribution of PruFund seems somewhat muddy. My reading is its a marketable brand with good financial performance but restricted by in house IT. I wonder if some smart Fintech business could help them | makinbuks

28/2/2024 10:32:18 | STJ today showing how a strength (Sales channel) can become a weakness if not Kept in check.
We need to look for the sacred cows and be skeptical of them.
For MNG so much of its business depends on the With Profits Fund and treating those policyholders fairly that is the sacred cow - fortunately its custodians seem to be pretty good at keeping it healthy. | 1jat
27/2/2024 19:27:19 | I'll hang on and sell a few days prior to ex dividend, as usual. | gbh2

27/2/2024 08:58:12 | Even ABDN managed a bounce on results….it would seem the market has hit the bottom for asset manager/wealth management shares.
Roll on the results for MNG. | 1jat
