maestro,

closed tadpole for 200 quid gain, got rid cos it holds up my open positions. swapped it for 50 quid long on vodafone. should bounce back nicely.

still open 100 quid in biliton, just waiting for that surge again to 475. been there few times in lastr few days, always seems to fall back.

my strategy is to now go for sort term nice 300-400-500 pound gains, just so i can open fresh positions. have written to ig index tio extend my deposit whicgh they will do!

then let good times roll.

keane..usually go for 6months in advance if its a small price like pipex communications[9p]currently 200 pounds long for June but if its say 100p or more go for next closing date and also for shares like lloydstsb that i close regularly for small profits...keep ya eye on Griffin mining...good punt at 21p i think..alot of gold companies with foothold in China are about to go crazy imho

Keane, if you bet until march the spread is tighter, and september it'll be wider. But if september is wider you've got longer to get the movement you want.
Whats the plan for this week then maester ? Whats the beef ?

When spreadbetting do you tend to go for March, June or September?

If you do go for a particular month whats the thinking behind it?

martin.. i've taken my open bets off the top of the thread,just showing my portfolio some of which has been bought by spread betting...find it a good stratedgy to make money spread betting and buy penny shares and wait for them to double or more.At the moment i've cashed in all my bets showing a profit and now have 8k in my account and 16 open positions showing a total deposit of 6k...have a current loss of 3.5k largely due to TBI's fall after bid failed and Bookhams fall.Two i like next week are Arm and Marconi,both reporting on tuesday and worth a serious guaranteed long spread bet...in US Nortel also report so hardware sector could get boosted...yes Tadpole seems a good bet..closed mine at 26p after buying 50pounds at 17p..also bought shares in it at 10p...looking to get back in soon if it falls near to 20p...good luck anyway and dn't forget to take a good profit...nothing worse than seeing it ebb all away only to shoot up again

keane..bought my first shares in TBI JANUARY 2001...at 65p..learnt the hard way with a series of disasters...Alldays,Telewest,Marconi,Shaw,Redstone,QXL,bULA,rONSON...surprised i'm still here 3 years on...
