Obviously, the news I had heard should not be painting the picture we are currently seeing.

Well shuffle man congratulation - you got this one right! Doubled in price over a few months -unfortunately I bought in some 3 years ago at 41p - at least on the road to recovery.

Some more excellent news, this company is well on the way to recovery

At the AGM Michael Rusch, Chairman, reported the Group had been selected for
certain important new contracts and that an announcement would be made in due
course.

Some of these contracts have now been awarded and LPA is pleased to announce
that it has won three major new contracts with a combined value of approximately #2.4m.

LPA Niphan has been awarded two contracts, for a further supply of stand by
battery, power supply and distribution rafts for Diesel Electric Multiple Unit
rail vehicles and also, for inter vehicle electrical jumper equipment for an
Electric Multiple Unit rail vehicle refurbishment project.

LPA Excil Electronics has been awarded a contract to supply a lighting system
for a Metro Vehicle refurbishment project.

Both LPA Channel Electric and LPA Haswell Engineers will be involved in the
projects as sub contractors

I agree shame there are not many people that follow this one as it looks like a good turnaround story.

There is hardly and shares traded at all on a daily basis.

Lets hope for some good news that will get the price moving

I am.

I have been a long-term holder. Sad to see the tough market conditions the company has experienced over the last few years but I believe this is a soundly managed business. I still think LPA is a good long-term investment.

I think these are going to start moving again, no trades for ages then it looks like a sell of 2,000 at 18p and the shares have gone up.

If recovery is really taking place these shares are dirt cheap.

Lets hope for some decent news soon.

LPA receives lift

Electronic accessory maker LPA, which is a major supplier to the cash-strapped railway companies, pleased shareholders this week with better than expected final results. In the year to September losses were cut to £208,000 and in the second half the group made a profit.

The good news has continued in the first four months of the new year, prompting the shares to surge 41 per cent to 20.5p. Broker Teather & Greenwood predicts a £210,000 pre-tax profit this year, producing 1.46p of earnings per share, which puts the shares on a p/e of 14.
