07/7/2016 22:15 | Yeah,i can see the possibilities with TPT,i'm just not sure what the outlook is for domestic focused companies.Good luck with it and thanks for passing on the tip cudmore.I will keep half an eye out for it as it climbs to 190p by Christmas! I have a few diverse shares that i already keep a daily eye on,another one will not hurt.I just fear for all bricks and mortar retailers,Amazon is having them all for breakfast, lunch and tea.I cannot understand why they are allowed to lay waste to retail parks etc.Talk about a jobs destroyer and its American, yet we get Obama telling us we will be at the back of the cue for a trade deal with them. The yanks(kraft) took over Cadbury,my favourite chocolate, promptly closed the Keynsham factory and moved production over to Poland! I don't buy it now.I wouldn't put it passed Amazon to sell tiles. They have certainly diversified away from books and the cds they started with. | redbaron10
07/7/2016 09:06 | The share price is staying strong this morning. Who knows how high these could go short term?? Also topped up with some TPT this morning. All the analyst saying the drop over the last week is overdone, with one predicting a £1.90 target. That's double this mornings share price Worth a punt imho. | cudmore
07/7/2016 01:19 | Someone after my own heart.'i was hooked on the intellectual challenge of the market'.Well said salty! Echo those sentiments.Cudmore what is this heresy i'm reading about profiteering tomorrow? Lol.Don't blame you,we've had a good run. It's the sensible thing to do,but i can't help thinking there's some more mileage here.US jobs report Friday.Below 160k and rate rise off the table until December at the earliest.A strong jobs number with the wage inflation growing and the dollar with strengthen. The longer the Conservative leader election for PM can be dragged out,the more uncertainty.I'm just waiting for definite news one way or the other.Anyway, let's see what tomorrow brings. | redbaron10
06/7/2016 22:23 | Bouleversee, i took up my rights and perhaps recklessly, i bought a few more shares. The combination of the as yet still modest recovery and buying more when the price was practically a give-away, have got me to -50.2%. Still a long way to go. My worst error was one of my first forays into the market. I bought shares in a company called Brent Walker and lost the lot. Complete nightmare but despite that i was hooked on the intellectual challenge of the market. And, sadly, i still am. Salty | saltaire111
06/7/2016 21:18 | saltaire 111 - You must have bought at a different time from me. I'm a long term holder and even after taking up my rights, due to the consolidation I am still down 88.65%. No way I'll ever get that back. All right for you Johnny-come-latelys but long term holders were well and truly shafted. | bouleversee
06/7/2016 19:07 | So glad I didn't bail out at £2+ here. Can see these continuing this momentum tomorrow imho. Perhaps take a few profits tomorrow. One can't be greedy!! | cudmore
06/7/2016 18:47 | 1093 and rising,spot on mike you called it | redbaron10
06/7/2016 16:36 | bout time the Daily Mail gave this a plug, 1089 now, unbelievable | mike24
06/7/2016 16:01 | Congrats Salty.Never worth throwing the towel in,even when you have eye-watering 95% losses.I still have Marconi scars when Lord Simpson was CEO!!! There never was the chance of a comeback with that one! Recovering losses you've already written off is a bonus.Depends how brave you feel now.£5 here would be nice. | redbaron10
06/7/2016 15:45 | Blimey, reached a LMI milestone today - one i never thought i'd get to. I've now only lost 50% of the money i've invested in this company!! Was down about 95% at one point on my initial investment. I remember the days when this was over £20 a share. Let's hope it gets back above a fiver!! Salty | saltaire111
06/7/2016 13:59 | Nibbled at AAL at 717.2 It's down because of copper.Need a bounce now | redbaron10
06/7/2016 10:23 | chart wise plat looking to beat 6/may high 1080 | mike24
06/7/2016 09:30 | Redbaron, good pt, think this will go much higher as on rights/consolidation was 100p is 1p Also as platinum price goes up , this will show the beta effect ,a small increase in plat price will make a huge increase in revenue. | rem108
06/7/2016 09:05 | Blimey.Didn't think i would see the day a tobacco company was the biggest by market cap on the ftse 100.Maybe smoking is bad for their customers, but their shareholders have done very well.Bad for health, good for wealth! What a strange investing environment we are living through. | redbaron10
05/7/2016 20:36 | Platinum up 2%,ZAR depreciating 1.25% against the dollar.Hang in there cudmore.More upside.Hopefully tomorrow. | redbaron10
04/7/2016 21:15 | Red Baron I couldn't agree more. volume is back up and the price continues to rise. Think a lot of new buyers are here in the last few days of trading realising there is definitely lots more on the upside here than the downside. With the unease in many stocks at the mo j think we're pretty save here for the time being. | cudmore
04/7/2016 20:52 | That's the way to think cudmore! You can always bail out if these fall back to £2 again and you've lost nothing from being a bit braver. What are you going to do by crystallizing your gain? Where are you going to reinvest this money? The platinum price is rising alongside gold.If both go into reverse then sell, you will still have a good profit.I'm with you though.I think 300p is coming.Greedy probably, but what else is going up at the moment? BAT,Imp brands,Reckitt,Unile | redbaron10
04/7/2016 20:22 | onwards and upwards we go. Was going to bail out once they hit £2 for a nice 300% profit but still holding and really think these could soar towards £3 IMHO | cudmore
04/7/2016 18:03 | The US $ platinum price is looking hot. Mining shares were all that rose today, on the bullion front at least this could continue for a while and despite all the heavyweight analysts it is getting to the stage where the company will be making serious profits. | harry_david
04/7/2016 09:43 | That's all history. No good looking in the rear-view mirror in investing. What's on or over the horizon going forward is important now.Apple nearly went bankrupt early on,see where it is now.Not saying Lmi is Apple, just making a point. | redbaron10
04/7/2016 09:36 | If we look at one year chart you may not like it so much! :-) | umitw
04/7/2016 09:34 | Got to love this share! | redbaron10
04/7/2016 08:26 | I agree that all the bullion prices are caught up in the economic policy moves that are ahead, but with Platinum there is the added factor of diesel cc's. On one hand we have a minor drop in European car numbers that may be more than offset by larger amounts of Platinum per car. Outside Europe there is likely to be more consumption in markets where it has not been used in the past. I'm betting on consumption rising in a market where production has been slowly falling. | harry_david |
