08/1/2009 11:44 | rg i think the rate cut is already priced in ,and the trend is downwards at the moment this is a great thread for lse - its about the ftse but it works for here as well plus US dont care about our rate cut - so even if there is a gain today dow will kill it i see lse going back to 525p over next few days but then back to over 625p and even 675p | fathert
08/1/2009 11:33 | anyone here to chat about lse today. What impact do you think a cut in IR rate will have on the SP? | rgolding1978

09/12/2008 17:53 | This is starting to look a very good short term investment, the Deutsche Boerse are still very interested in getting the LSE for their international exposure & presence. The volumes of trades are rising the value of trades ok is falling, but that may only be until we get a sustainable market rally globally. I would expect DB to make an early move on the LSE before markets rally. That will start a bidding war as the LSE is the major independent European trading Exchange for all new global companies to list. This will happen as there is a need to cut trading costs via technology improvements & increase market penetration globally. | 13matt13
10/11/2008 17:12 | any thoughts on this-seems very volatile trading range now £6-7 but interim results due thursday in face of increasing competition. | coronia

19/8/2008 17:52 | more buybacks yesterday and today have kept this from falling below £7 but it is only a matter of time before they do. | highlands
15/8/2008 09:00 | LSE keep buying back shares to keep share price up. I don't think that is very imsginative and they cannot keep buying back for ever. They are due a fall back to sub £7 and nothing short of a bid will stop that. | highlands
14/8/2008 09:05 | RAZZLE, keeping away from AQP at the moment? the one you predicted will be £2 and is now 477p and rising? | highlands
14/8/2008 08:36 | With strong competition from Turquoise coming soon, LSE market share and profit margin will fall very quickly - Will be sub £7 within a week! | highlands
07/8/2008 09:12 | This could be upto £12 very quick or could a BID come? | razzzzzer
24/7/2008 11:04 | Funny that a few sunday business papers reckoned that LSE was fair value at £7.50 - something about its new trading platform having competetors. | corpraiders
24/7/2008 10:20 | cos it is bloody cheap | weemonkey
24/7/2008 09:42 | Any clues why the LSE's been skyrocketing the past over 2 days ?? | corpraiders
16/7/2008 06:23 | Should the LSE provide a sub-market for institutions to lend & borrow shres. It would provide opportunity to the LSE to increase turnover and for institutions to demonstrate transparency and compliance in share lending and short side dealing. | tullynessle
15/7/2008 12:34 | any ideas why bucking market trend today? | coronia

03/7/2008 09:16 | well what happens is its shorted to a point where it becomes a bargain for a buyer. prob even shoted by the buyer!! holders of course are shat on. this happens on aim markets every week. shorting one day will kill the markets through unregulated behaviour . | sirshagalot
02/7/2008 09:45 | it was overvalued though, but no doubt the raiders are monitoring lSE, i would not discount a bid. when will the stampede stop though? | jawpaw |
