curt unfortunately i think there may be little chance of validating your position, and probably even less chance of getting your funds back...but we live in hope!

I invested in China Biotech as one of LDC's investee companies. It has since been delisted !! Does anyone know what has happened to this company ?? How can a shareholder validate his position and realise their funds ??

terryh - also note your post concerning COMG/EPE.

Are you one of the ex-directors posting under a new name? If so, please expand on this. We would love to have your insight and expertise.

Loverat / Madscorpian. You should try getting your facts right! You indicated that a school was purchased by the directors of EPE at a giveaway price of 70,000 pounds, in fact this school was purchase was led by the largest shareholder, the head of the school, and the price was well in excess of 70,000k only for the goodwill of the school.

The accounts have been filed at Companies House, so presumably they were approved!

I heard that the appointment of the auditors had been stymied due to some internal wrangling and that a further meeting will have to be called to validate the appointment.

Will ask. This was the bit of KN's findings that I personally found the most interesting and astounding.

Loverat - the Nourican Adriatica loan recovery was cited previously as having "encouraging signs". Do LAC still see this as the case ? or any developments to report on this ?

Many thanks Vish65

Anyway - if you want me to ask anything please let me know. Unfortunately I was going to call yesterday/day before but instead kept my landline open for two calls I was expecting. As is typical - neither materialised.

I am going to contact the company about other matters over the next few days and I might ask about the AGM.

I was going to do this alot sooner but very busy lately. Perhaps if others attended they could do the necessary to save me the trouble.

Many thanks

Yes, I know you posted in 2007 - I have the whole thread downloaded.

Mind you - what a strange thing to think I was Keith Negal and then post it here.

Looks like it's been a dump dump dump exercise recently

It's just a case of supply and demand. No demand, lots of supply ............therefore the price goes
down, same as sugar, oil, gold, underpants, meat, and anything else you can think of!!
So, for every seller there must be a buyer, so who's picking up all the sales that have taken place
recently? Is it just being held on the MM's books?

phbatbjco - 5 Jun'07 - 14:26 - 7850 of 8797
more blue on the screen today than has been seen recently

phbatbjco - 7 Jun'07 - 13:35 - 7866 of 8797
should have acted the other day when the blue started but didnt, modestly back in now but at 10.6
rather than 9.6!

It does rather seem that the concept of 'fair play' does not exist in China. They always look to out-manouvre westerners and gain an advantage. Its part of the Chinese gambling addiction. I would think it highly unlikely that the ZY deal will go through unless officialdom gives its blessing. This can often only be obtained by bribery. I wonder how many previous deals conducted on our behalf by SL and co. were eased in this way - possibly accompanied by the obligatory bottle or three of Chateau Laffite at our expense.

On another matter I totally concur with Loverat on Keith Nagel. If ever this company needed a business aNgel it got one with this gentleman. We can only hope that he is able to make a recovery and I certainly will be wishing him well. Thanks Keith for all you have done.
