01/4/2020 06:37 | I assume so - they do state quite deliberately "on ordinary shares". Q. They state the move in response to a request from the PRA - Who is that - BoE perhaps... | ![]() skyship
01/4/2020 06:16 | "the board has decided that until the end of 2020 we will undertake no quarterly or interim dividend payments, accrual of dividends, or share buybacks on ordinary shares. In addition, in response to a request from the PRA and to preserve additional capital for use in serving our clients, the board has agreed to cancel payment of the final 2019 dividend in relation to ordinary shares. " Do we assume/infer that the dividend is maintained for preference shares? | ![]() folderboy

18/3/2020 00:03 | If you look at the spread here, then drift over to the LLPD board where the shares are less liquid, yet the apparent spread is tight & also appear to be trading well above the quoted price. Likewise over at BOI trades appear to be going through well above the quoted price. | ![]() yupawiese2010

17/3/2020 12:01 | I think you have answered your own question. You might want to try and connect - "I sold a small number of shares today" with "why are they going down?" | ![]() valhamos
17/3/2020 11:20 | I'm concerned and curious about LLPC. It has dropped over 20% in the last 3 weeks, but apparently only aroiund 80,000 shares have been sold. I sold a small number of shares today but they are not recorded on ADVFN's level 2 page for LLPC. Lloyd's own page on the LSE site shows the last five transactions as being off-book and in the price range 140.2 to 148.5, dated 11th and 6th March. Given the interest on these shares why are they going down? Is Lloyds likely to stop payment?? | ![]() trinders
14/11/2019 04:00 | It's that black horse by your side, you have to keep your eye on it all the time as the beast is apt to go feral (Equus ferus) and you just might get trampled. | ![]() glavey
13/11/2019 13:28 | Its an issue of ethics. Bottom line ecclastrial are ethical, Lloyds are not and probably never will be. Hence the discount must apply. | ![]() my retirement fund
13/11/2019 09:41 | Yep slight discount due to the idea that Lloyds came up with (on Aviva's behalf) that they could effectively cancel the prefs at par (100p) if they wanted using some legal wranglings. That idea seems to have been put to bed but Lloyds never actually came and and said they'd never do it unlike others. Personally I think that risk is very very small now especially given the size of the issue here but it's something to consider. | ![]() loglorry1 |
