Agreed, I laughed when he turned up with shades & a fake afro, but the quality of the content was excellent. @Jamesmith, I think you underestimate how challenging it is for most people to undertake proper research themselves. For one thing it takes a lot of time & secondly you have to know what you are looking for. Eg. it's not enough to look at LIT in isolation, you need to contextualise the investment case vs Peers (Omni Bridgeway was very useful to see how the Asset Management business can grow), and also be aware of the path that BUR followed. That's more than the majority can be bothered to read!

I agree that the principle of blindly following is dangerous though, you just need to look at the Vox Markets Podcast to see how dodgy some of it is. From my experience, the good promoters talk about market cap ahead of share price, the shysters focus entirely on the share price...

He has built a decent following based on what is clearly well researched content, presented honestly with an injection of humour and humility. He has a solid background academically and professionally. He is believable. Hats off to him.

The timing of the video is poignant too. Whilst Mateus is not specifically technical which he readily admits, LIT bouncing off the zone between 21 and 55EMA is very encouraging. Will we see 100p soon?

Does amaze me how quickly people will buy into something because of a video instead of doing the actual research themselves though.Am tempted to reduce my position in RGBP and use some of that to add a position here as LIT does look relatively underpriced following RGBPs solid run over last few months but will need to check out everything in the video does line up. The accounting process is something I like a lot, conservative is definitely better for long term holders.

Yep it’s a really good video actually, 1.7k views so far so we should get off to a flyer if even 5% of them want to buy in. Just checked the order book at the bid is already up to 85p... going to be a cracker :)

Been saying it all along and finally more and more investors are figuring out the potential for life changing wealth creation here. Be patient and let the story unfold. This is going to be a repeat of Burfords gains over the next few years.

That was a pretty compelling summary of the advantages and disadvantages of LIT. It conforms very closely with my original analysis. All I can say is that I am glad that I also put it at the top of my conviction buys and already hold a significant amount. It’s clearly the really outstanding litigation finance opportunity.

Yes had been watching the L2 order book & noted the buy side strengthening this morning. There had been 50k on the offer for the last few days but that was taken out just before lunch. There is another 50k sitting at 83p, if that gets taken out then 85p + will happen very quickly.

Hopefully we can clear that 85p level and move back to the old highs set right after the IPO.

Profit taking has slowed and demand is still there so this is going higher...

Well Patrick said they could sign the new fund when the first one was 75% deployed, given it was 68% deployed as of mid March, it shouldn't be far away. Agree it doesn't need much at all to get through 100p, just look at RBGP which has gone from 57 to 130 in the last 3 months...

scuberr - Ha, Ha!
I hope I only post information and opinions, never what I think of other people.

I read the article and it's a pretty good summary of what's in the public domain anyway. He seems to be the US equivalent of an adviser or wealth capital firm. Some of the other articles on his blog look to be good reading, but I'm not much into US concerns.

Last time I posted here was to draw attention to LIT's accounting: cash cost valuation of litigation assets.
So what they reveal in public is what their stuff costs, but not what they think it's worth today. Management and in-house lawyers will have a pretty good real-time opinion of the ongoing value of cases - whether to raise (ie. provide more funding), hold, or fold (ie. to close down any future funding). They reveal none of this. Too much scope for insider actions.

With this being the freer thread (ie. not controlled by the unscrupulous joHnwig) I thought I would share a thesis for one of LITs competitors. It's always good to have a thorough understanding of the competitive environment prior to making an investment. I hope this helps to inform.

Pushing off that 75p base might have legs to 100p soon. Now would be a good time to announce the new fund...

What's all this talk about 100p year end! 150p in my view once cases start closing. Then on to 200p next spring.

Been adding recently on pull back. Don't think will be hear for long. My prediction is 100p earlier than year end.

Ostrich. Or maybe emu would seem to be more appropriate bearing in mind its origin.

We've got plenty of roosters, albeit bantam roosters, crowing their stuff on some of these threads.

I'm not here for baby chickens... Here to see the eggs turn into roosters...

We should hear news on the new fund soon.. Hopefully we finish the year above 100p
