14/9/2004 15:06 | LONDON (AFX) - Buyers came for Litho Supplies after the supplier of printing and graphic arts materials and equipment disclosed a swing to the black at the half-way mark. Pretax profits came out at 535,000 stg against losses of 1.31 mln. Sales slipped in the period to 23.66 mln stg from 24.05 mln and the group said the summer months were quiet with extremely challenging conditions. market likes the results so does my sipp | artful dodger
14/8/2004 08:39 | I posted about this on TMF last night: It's difficult to know what is going on here. But trading more than 10% below NAV and on a PSR of 0.2 it is perfectly possible that there has been a boardroom bust-up about a buyout or bid. Mulvaney and Cooper retain decent shareholdings. However I usually tend to assume the worst in these situations, so I am not going to get my hopes up. artful dodger - LTS has had jt managing directors under a chief exec for quite a few years. Mulvaney was in charge of sales. WCB | westcountryboy
13/8/2004 22:35 | what was this? somekind of cosy love-in or job-share? looks like they fell out over who got to sit in the big chair | artful dodger
13/8/2004 22:25 | Hmmm. To lose one MD might be seen as unfortunate; however, to lose two ... Le Petit Fou (long LTS) | lpf
09/3/2004 07:47 | 6% div yield, company selling at book - got to be good value here. | valhamos
09/3/2004 07:41 | Good results after a difficult period in the industry. Cash and divi up. Time to top up | irenekent
29/1/2004 21:11 | This is a real diamond which was highlighted by Edmund Jackson on Citywire last Spring at 30p and I am really surprised that he has not returned to it.The dividend alone has to make it a star and the share purchase by the Chairman in November must augur well for the next results. | high noon
04/12/2003 08:19 | Good little income stock. | washbrook
18/11/2003 19:55 | Nice to see the price moving in the right direction i've held these shares for three years. Should have sold at a £ but as a dividend invester i'm happy to hold and was pleased to see the increase in the divi. Looks like the management seem to have faith in business think i'll join them and grab a few more. | superjock
18/11/2003 11:24 | Shares marked up to 50-55p - their highest level for 2 years. RNS Number:1854S Litho Supplies PLC 18 November 2003 Litho Supplies Plc announces that it was today informed that Mr B C Clark, non-executive Chairman, purchased 30,000 shares in the Company at a price of 49 pence per share on 18 November 2003. | vs
09/9/2003 20:05 | Thought about Buying this one for ages but never totally convinced. Thought the statement contained lots of spin (scared of the larger shareholders?). An 'Exceptional' Pension provision (based on March 2002 assumptions?) which has no cash effect but based on those assumptions requires an additional £25,000 a month payment....er isn't that just an increase in the normal pension charge? Increased Suppliers charges being good news.....improved trading conditions but other competitiors leaving the market etc. I may miss out but I think I'll sit this one out for now. | jeff h
09/9/2003 09:45 | Reasonable set of results, and the exceptional pension contribution has been absorbed without too much impact. Good news that signs of improved trading are coming through and that they are doing better than competitors. The interim dividend increase of 16% also shows confidence - I would assume that the final will also be increased by at least that amount. Prospective yield of 7% - hard to match elsewhere. | vs
09/9/2003 09:21 | should drift up to 55-ish at least imho, on these figures........could take a few days though, muppets will have to wait until they are told to buy 'em by the press! lololol | ydderf
09/9/2003 08:20 | Tidy results. Cashflow again excellent and profitability basically level despite tough trading conditions. Single figure PE for the year looking likely. Already chunky dividend increased slightly. Discount to NTA still at a reasonable level. A comfortable hold for the dividend and possibility of improving profitability IMO. | stewjames
20/8/2003 17:05 | The MM's seem to be struggling on how to handle LTS. They dropped the price to 35-37 last Friday on some relatively moderate sells and yet today it's closed at 40-44. Seems like there is a buyer out there, mopping up stock as it becomes available. I've done my bit over the last couple of days by continuing to apply pressure on their gonads as appropriate ;-) | vs
13/8/2003 14:41 | Wise words, fred. And to anyone who doesn't have the resources to afford a traditional broker and has to suffer the online price, back in March, shortly before buying, I said... Thing is, it needs to rise 25% or so for you to just breakeven. That's a whopping great chunk out of the potential upside. It's risen a great deal more than that 25% already, plus I got within the spread even with my no frills online broker without difficulty. | stewjames
13/8/2003 11:15 | suggest you don't quibble about the spread - instead use the phone to tell your broker what you want to pay, it will soon look very cheap, whatever it is! | ydderf
13/8/2003 08:48 | Nice to see this finally touching 40p. Each MM still quoting a ridiculous 7p spread but at least as a percentage it's slowly becoming more reasonable. Edit: on further examination level 2 shows WINS on 38-43 and KLWT on 37-44. Interesting that WINS have moved to a 5p spread and have both the best bid and offer. | vs
04/8/2003 20:23 | It has the potential to double from these levels. Almost a cash shell but with added advantage of being highly profitable. | hvs
04/8/2003 18:51 | Ah, good. I thought that was a "what are you muppets buying" type lol. I hold. | stewjames
04/8/2003 16:43 | you can watch the supply running down as it happens - lots of buying and just one substantial seller, and soon they will be done, call me old-fashioned but this is the kind of stock and the kind of markets which feed on each other, meanwhile there is a 8% yield and lots of cash-flow...... | ydderf |
