31/10/2009 08:03 | wendy, are you invested here?? didnt think you were much of a dattels fan i seem to recall. new board game for chrismas called "dattels" based on trying to work out all of dattels fingers and pies? | humbugg
31/10/2009 02:00 | So Amber will now be bringing KAH shares to the party. I'm sure this was all worked out in advance. I wonder what the next steps of the Dattels plan will be. | zangdook
30/10/2009 21:38 | TMM2, Thanks for sticking it out with MDC I took some at 1.3 and off loaded last week and a decent profit. Maybe a little bit to early! but HEY HO! | cockney sparrow
30/10/2009 21:35 | How does the URU special divi alter the figures here? I assume for the better? This is looking interesting. | themoneymonster2
30/10/2009 18:36 | Hi guys, Have a look at the URU thread for clarification of some of your Q's ! ;> | extrader
30/10/2009 13:24 | Not much they can say to you right now, Paul - they can't even set a meeting date until they know when they'll be able to submit the Admission Document, and the completion of the Admission Document is dependent on when the many third parties involved deliver their reports and statements. And yes, 75% because it's a scheme of arrangement. | wdurham
30/10/2009 11:18 | The problem with LMY is the directors appointed by a few major controlling shareholders. Hence we are being treated like we don't matter. Sod all info re change of directors and ditto now. They needed > 50%? for directors but 75% for this RTO? Looks like they are doing good job so far but I'd like to be kept informed more. | ghhghh
30/10/2009 03:06 | The Proactive article is dated 6 July, but "As of the 3rd September 2009 the Company had been notified, in accordance with the Disclosure and Transparency Rules, of the following shareholdings amounting to 3% or more of the ordinary share capital of the Company: Amber Petroleum Ltd 10.38%" 10.38% corresponds to 12.2m shares, which is what they originally bought in June. At that time it was 10.8%. Presumably LMY will publish more detailed info in due course and we'll be able to find out the truth. | zangdook
29/10/2009 23:36 | Amber were involved in the URU placing so they own more than what other posters have quoted - see below: 11.3% of a company that is currently worth £37.6m but is actually worth about £50m and is likely to be worth £120m when the Rossing Saga unravels. So URU stake worth £4m today and £13m next year. Oh surprise surprise their is another link! There is more than meets the eye here! IB | inside building
29/10/2009 12:55 | complicated document for me anyway. not sure if this was what i was expecting though, and struggling to put a price on it. might be a good call being suspended with the market the way it is. | humbugg
29/10/2009 11:34 | isnt this what you were all waiting for? what did you expect a reverse take over of rio? | martinfrench
29/10/2009 11:05 | I could wish the RNS had told us a) more about Amber's assets, in detail; b) the date and location of the SGM This web site is temporarily unavailable. Edit - bits of it can be seen via Google caches, but seem to be out of date - the assets listed are the three Nigerian oil fields | zangdook
29/10/2009 10:41 | Amber have 10.38% of Niger worth circa £3.5m. Add on $2.5m cash. Then two quoted stakes in Bannerman (cap circa A$265m) and Western Australian (cap circa A$67m) and scope for close to the £9m we are paying with shares. Hence looks like we are getting big liquid injection, hopefully circa £9m, so LMY now fabulously funded. But for what? | ghhghh
29/10/2009 10:13 | Why is it a good deal? To me, it looks like yet another Dattell uranium play toy.Hope I am wrong! sounds great - after Uramin ($2.5bn) and Extract ($1.5bn), can't wait.. | jester jim
29/10/2009 09:20 | By my calculation, ignoring all other assets, and at the current share price, the carry-through value per EXT share is around £10.42. So this is not a strong candidate as a proxy investment in EXT, especially given the substantial discounts available by investing in KAH, URU or EML, or the smaller premium at PRL. Any opinions on the value of Amber's assets, apart from its shares in URU? | zangdook
29/10/2009 08:49 | morning guys...got 60k here...those more experienced good for us??? | comedy
29/10/2009 08:36 | Why is it a good deal? To me, it looks like yet another Dattell uranium play toy.Hope I am wrong! | rapinvest
29/10/2009 08:34 | Ha! I was right! zangdook - 18 Sep'09 - 14:22 - 466 of 604 edit Apologies for vagueness Wasn't there a private company that took a chunk in one of the EXT family a few months ago? I've forgotten which, or what it was called, but it was also Dattels-connected. Could that be it? ---------- Inside Building - 20 Sep'09 - 09:08 - 468 of 604 Zangdook, I think you mean the ex Polo executive who bought this via Amber! --------- zangdook - 20 Sep'09 - 14:14 - 469 of 604 edit Inside Building 468 That's the one. Might it be them? | zangdook
29/10/2009 08:13 | Blimey, it's happening! Looks like the stock will be suspended until the new year but it looks like a good deal. A lot to read! | induna123
28/10/2009 22:31 | Why is this taking so long? | imperial3
28/10/2009 21:39 | Not sure why they have posted the last post several times. Paul, have you heard anymore on the merger? Do you have any thoughts on current LMY sp? | themoneymonster2
