23/1/2014 19:51 | The mill, yes we all know that, of course we need to price in growth, exploration, sentiment and all the other aspects that go towards the share price Sock however was purely basing his opinion on 'cash' which is why I asked the question why should the share price reflect just cash, it would be pointless. I would imagine hundreds of shares trade at below cash and likewise hundreds trading above cash. It's not the be all and end all for the share price | cupra kid
23/1/2014 19:06 | The Mill, exactly... this is my point, len have $35m , cash is 8p, lrl is circa 1.5p and cash is half that, plus the asset is not wortj much, ok there might be acquisitions but there will be acquisitions in len too and this is undervalued, both have potential but len has more potential, as it's already undervalued, they have just appointed one of the best people in the industry... not deramping just stating my opinion. | socktrade1
23/1/2014 18:17 | "If everthing was priced as it should be then whats the point in buying/selling shares?"Because businesses grow and risk profiles change. For instance, a gas exploration company might be valued at cash levels while engaged in exploratory drilling. If that company finds a lot of gas, and makes money selling it, then the shares will re rate to reflect the new reality. It would not necessarily be that the price was undervalued previously, just that a risk discount was applied. Once the gas is found you would not expect the risk discount anymore.Of course if this hypothetical company does not find gas, and spends all its money, the shares won't be worth anything.Having said that I honestly believe the market can misunderstand risk and misprice stocks - as it did to banks before the credit crunch. | the millipede
23/1/2014 17:01 | Ignore that just realised its £3'000'000 dollars | napdphil
23/1/2014 16:56 | socktrade1 - 23 Jan 2014 - 14:22 - 14734 of 14738if we forget about the assets and just vaue the company on cash, len is worth 8p and you can buy at 6.5 where as lrl is worth circa 0.07p where as it's priced at double its cashI get LRL cash value @ 1.2p not .7p? | napdphil
23/1/2014 16:18 | While we await further news Something brewing at MARL, lots of news due and going very strong into close. | morriseyme |
