12/10/2014 19:06 | Stepping down more like bailing out of a sinking ship. | wardy333
12/10/2014 18:50 | Who next will be hopping aboard the chinese gravy train? | useless23
12/10/2014 14:25 | According to The Guardian John Manzoni will be stepping down from Leyshon Energy following his appointment to his Civil Service post. Should get an RNS tomorrow I would have thought. Perhaps his replacement will be able to devote more time to Leyshon. | jick
10/10/2014 09:17 | Speaking of which where is he??? I suspect on a plane to China to have a word. | wordog
10/10/2014 08:33 | Private investors need to be weaned off stocks like this. I actually think execution only stock buying needs to be tightened up by the regulators as these stocks are just fodder for directors to get rich at the expense of gormless types like socktrade. | rcturner2
09/10/2014 20:52 | I hope PA is reading your post eastenderboy or has he got different plans to recover his personal losses here. Who cares for the ordinary share holders? Where is Socktrade these days still holidaying or again trying to raise some funds to buy more at these levels? | nick297
09/10/2014 09:34 | Move over you 2 as im in the front row also... at this price it is a no brainer.. option 1. try and get some gas out of current wells option 2. if not then look to sell area and buy new business option 3. if not then buy time by buying back some shares any of the above will increase the current share price. | eastender boy
08/10/2014 20:01 | I think you're correct useless23 and will be riding the roller coaster with you. This was never going to be an easy ride however it's very easy to be so pessimistic with the share price so low likewise to be super positive with the share price rising. Markets are down, sentiment is down so let's hope there is light at the end of he tunnel. I believe there is still plenty to look forward to. | cupra kid
08/10/2014 19:48 | Is there a case to be made for investing in this company at the present price? I think the answer is yes to that question which is why I am still imvested. | useless23
08/10/2014 19:07 | All the best beaujolly. We've all been there. I have not quite given up on this one yet, but recognise which way the odds are running. | colonel a
08/10/2014 18:32 | Even a good RNS will not be able to take this too far. | nick297
08/10/2014 16:47 | Yup and that's why I finally sold out this morning at a big loss. Everything has already been said and at the end of the day I was the mug who ignored all the signs. That said knowing my luck coupled with the fact you couldn't buy more than 10k on line this pm, there will probably be a stonking rns tomorrow morning. Hope so for all holders and good luck. | beaujolly
08/10/2014 15:42 | 15p puts a £25mill value on the lease. Which is very modest for a proven gas resource. Unfortunately this resource is very much the third verdict possible in a Scottish trial - Not Proven. Although the verdict on LEN generally might be less ambiguous. | colonel a
08/10/2014 15:22 | "tbh I really do not understand how PA has set a share price target of 15p-17p in the short-mid term!" In the same way that he set the £2 one. | beaujolly
08/10/2014 14:54 | I think the trades today certainly suggest that buyers are still out there that must see value at this low level. It doesn't distract from being another horrible year thus far mind. | cupra kid
08/10/2014 14:41 | just waiting game...bottom drawer etc... No drilling commencement of Z8 yet!!!...tbh I have a feeling they wont manage to fracc z8 on time this year due to winter...as I see it, they should be about to finish drilling Z8 in the next few days in order we could have a chance to get results from fraccing this year...they are actually still continuing to test the upper zone and evaluate the results from Z7!! also, imo market does not believe the new asset will be mainly financed by debt facility, as PA has expressed...the massive discount to cash indicates to me that market expects big dilution and if we add the incompetence on the operational front to stick to time-schedules they set, never mind good results, then we get today's sp! imo it really needs a lot of effort now to turn the boat! and tbh I really do not understand how PA has set a share price target of 15p-17p in the short-mid term! rabbit and a hat anyone? | pro_better
08/10/2014 11:12 | No buyers left unfortunately. I think until there is some sort of positive news that buyers can latch onto, this looks like every other AIM O&G basket case. | rcturner2
08/10/2014 09:36 | another all time new low today .??.:o((( | sirraman
07/10/2014 16:42 | Me too. It's just incredibly frustrating that they tell us so little and seem to be so ineffective. It's not as if they are at the bleeding edge of exploration technology. | colonel a
07/10/2014 16:28 | Colonel, at current sp, there is not much long termers can do...it really is not worthy taking the loss right now... so we are just waiting for any positive developments that may come through... | pro_better
07/10/2014 10:24 | What are the facts ? I don't harbour any doubts that historically Leyshon has been less than competent operationally and very economical with the truth to shareholders. But, they do still have a promising asset and they have some new managers. Personally I'd rather they had a serious go at plan A or just sold out and returned a few quid to the long suffering. | colonel a
07/10/2014 08:34 | Looking at the presentation and the prospectivity of the licence area they are yet to drill in the primary target for deep gas. That in itself is surprising but presumably that's where they will drill ZJS8. After that I imagine they will have sufficient knowledge to continue or move on. ps I believe plan B is to actively seek other attractive assets in the region. | beaujolly
07/10/2014 08:18 | but the cash per share is not relevant if they continue with the same strategy. It's clearly a difficult basin so why not just stop any further expenditure, farm out and start something else , then again they have no plan B I've seen other oil and gas tiddlers trading below cash and the share price never recovered. | sos100
07/10/2014 08:07 | I agree with the sentiments expressed by many of the posters but let's not distort the facts. ZJS5 is commercial as previously advised via rns in one zone. It would appear they have now tested the same upper zone as ZJS7 and are experiencing the same problems. In line with the latest rns they should have $21m left after this testing programme or 5.25p per share. | beaujolly
06/10/2014 21:04 | Atherley will bleed this dry, best get out while there is still someone to take the stock off you, company and Atherley is virtually finished, he is probably lining himself up a bonus for more failure just like he did before. | wardy333 |
