Time To Explore Lets Explore Group ask @TMSreach "...With cash in hand, a new venture in a growing market, and an ambitious management team that has proven its ability to identify and develop a growth business, LETS seems an intriguing prospect – especially with a share price of just 2.65p and a market cap of £5m. With a seasonal product likely to generate a Q4 revenues boost, LETS promises to be a microcap worth watching over the coming months..."https://total-market-solutions.com/2023/10/lets-explore-group-plc/

Looks like DD is bidding on “motato” for Google ads.

Also buying Motatos warehouse stock.

And what do we think of the business proposition of Discount Dragon?

It looks to me like it might be attractive to someone organising a party who wants some drinks and snacks. But the product range is currently limited and the discounts are quite small. In advertising the discounts they quote RRPs but the products in question can already be bought for below the RRP in the supermarkets. Perishable items have a best before date which is only two weeks into the future. As it stands, I would say shopping at Discount Dragon is definitely not a substitute for the weekly shop. So how to scale up from here?

You mean £3mln ish paid is less than 450k x 12 ?

Why would it be so cheap ? Is it effectively a way of getting Discount Dragon onto the market. In which case - why ?

Sales in August were over £450k. That suggests less than 1 x revenue paid.

Best part of a year to do due diligence on their own company ?

Extraordinary !!!

They would have been better off throwing the kitchen sink at the HBE products for the Christmas period.

I feel the same regarding your second comment Yump.

2x revenue paid by the look of it which seems cheap. Don’t know about Motatos.

Don’t trust them anyway.

According to my calculations there will be 336.76m shares in issue currently valued at about £8.5m. The market is not impressed !!!

Online discount grocer Motatos has shut down its store in the UK just one year after launching in June 2022 due to what it described as ‘tough’ market conditions

Hardly inspiring is it ?

yump I don't disagree but the business they have bought into is very relevant in these times. The fact that they are paying in shares is good as it gives them a lot of skin in the game but it is at a cheap price !!!! The management are to be watched carefully IMHO

I'm very happy with this.

It's being done for paper and will leave the company with in a very strong position. £7.8m in cash and a very good new business.

The company was already profitable with the HBE business which looks like it's rapidly accelerating with thr new orders.

Very cheap.

If I could be bothered, I'd get the accounts for the LBE business in a year or so, to see the money rolling in to their shareholders.

It’s painfully quiet. Last time they were this silent they completely changed their direction and sold the core business. It would not surprise me if they did something off point again.

RE acquisition.

From 29th June

It has now narrowed its focus and has entered into preliminary due diligence on a possible target.

The Company will keep shareholders fully advised as matters progress.

And that's why investors like Napoleon have given up on this lot.

Despite previous assurances that they would improve communications with their investors, they repeatedly fall short.

I'm outa here @ 2.5p/share. Lots patience with this load if malarki and will keep away
from any Higinbottom ventures in future. Looked to have a good future but
when it seemed to come right, the business was sold.
Makes you wonder who bought & what the relationship with IMMO management is,
as many a business has been built with investors' money and "sold" on the cheap.
Often on AIM, but also on main market.
Remember PAYS, the money transfer/wallet biz?
Same old, same old IMO.

Agree with your sentiment.

I have suspicions they have been looking at a company they already own privately and they will somehow try and dress it up from Mutton into lamb. .

Considering they have been looking for a company to acquire for at least six months, they certainly don’t seem in a rush.

But they never did anything on time before, so why change now ?

The reality is that its now a group of people that did not generate a viable business and did not stick with it.

Now they’ve got a load of cash. You might think that, given the poorly ratings of small companies, that they might pick up a nice profitable business for a snip.

But that would mean they could be measured properly against performance, so that won’t happen.

It will be something loss-making, but with great (undefined) promise, that simply needs a bit of investment to be able to profit from an exciting market opportunity.

At least market traders know how to buy stuff that’s going cheap (liquidations etc) mark it up and sell it on a a nice profit.

100% certain this lot don’t. But why bother if you can live off the salaries.

The buying has begun, others have clearly spotted the discount to cash or news is out on a deal.
