Question to the floor.

Have any of pothead's hunches ever come to fruition, EVER?

1m buy on the bell.

Yup, nice to see that lendmeafiver.

I still have a strong hunch for either Morrisons or M&S or both.

...like all your other strong 'hunches' nowt will come of it.

Ever think that perhaps both outfits are satisfied with what they have in place?

Suppose not eh.

Sid - further to the awards ceremony on November 29th.

As far as I can see, Virtualstock are the only company to have two nominations in different categories.

Also, I get the feeling that if they do actually win one of the awards, it will speed up the proposed IPO process.

A previous winner Fevertree Drinks floated afterwards and are doing very well with a current mcap of £2.2 BILLION.

I think that proves that either winning a gong or getting down to some good networking pays off in the end.

G'day Bruces everywhere,
I'm going to move my money from the Cayman Islands back to New Zealand.
Does anyone know if there's an outfit there who can handle my finances?

Indeed it will sid. I read through the whole of the page and it's associated bits. Apparently your company have to be nominated in the first instance, not sure whether that can be done by VS themselves or what.

But, this is the important bit. Nominations opened in June and closed in September. From those that were nominated the judges had to pare them down to the shortlists you see in each category.

So, even getting past the first hurdle is positive in itself.

Wouldn't mind being a fly on the wall that evening.

Thats exactly right PP. Winning a small vase or whatever is irrelevant, it is getting the product out there to the right people that counts. So being short listed, VS will presumably be given a 5 min presentation slot, along with all other finalists.

That will be the most important 5 minutes of this young companies life.

This will give a flavour of just what a prestigious event the awards are, and the company that Virtualstock will be mixing with.

The opportunities for networking and gaining new contracts for "The Edge" are superb.

Morning Mickluv1 - I suppose our chances are the same as last week.

When it comes, it comes!

Having said that, we must be pretty close to an announcement about the licences and permissions required for IBS.

Also as it's been ultra-quiet on the newsfront it leads me to believe that a lot could be happening behind the scenes at VS, so as always, be prepared to be surprised here.

As always, it's a question of accumulating and patience. It will all pay off eventually in a big way.

As an aside, the judges have made up their mind about the "Growing business awards" which will be announced in a few weeks. VS have two entries, so it would be nice to think we've won one of them, or at least come in the top three.

Even if we don't win, we'll get some excellent publicity for VS and the way it operates. I would imagine there will be a large amount of networking going on at the awards ceremony itself.
