24/10/2016 15:06 | All will be revealed in due course, I'm sure. No problem about VS. A sound solid and rapidly growing company. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 15:02 | VS accounts available anywhere? Nowt at Companies House AFAICS? TIA | ![]() eezymunny
24/10/2016 14:54 | Very much off topic I know, but RIP Jimmy Perry, purveyor of probably the best sitcom, Dad's Army, and the ridiculously wonderful Hi-De-Hi. Talent like that is a rare thing. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 14:45 | Indeed RTW1. The next stage in the total transformation of VS and, by implication, LEG. Whilst we are all concentrating on today's RNS and the prospects for VS, don't forget our other holdings (effectively in the price for nothing) and our cash. I'm expecting the next announcement to be that Zaf has brokered a deal to increase our VS holding from 7 to 10%. Then after that, a revaluation of VS. Methinks the 1p party may start sooner than many expect, but hopefully not until I've got the wife's pension pot up to speed here! | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 14:36 | “We wanted to embed best practice by replicating the best in retail. We need to deliver at pace, so we have adopted VS, the same digital platform used by some of the UK’s largest retailers to deliver both a common catalogue solution and a platform for future process improvement,” said David Lawson, chief procurement officer at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. A platform for future process improvement = P2P (purchase to pay) GLA | ride the wave 1
24/10/2016 14:30 | Well, I'm a bit out with my 250m volume forecast for today, but I reckon now lunch is over and the street is open, with a following wind we could top 150m by the close. A very good day all round with tons more to come. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 13:19 | Just added another 500k, showing as a sell naturally. | philmiboots
24/10/2016 13:18 | Many thanks Phil, anton85 good thinking. Jut wish the pension transferees would get a move on! | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 13:11 | Well done RTW: totally vindicated. And an even bigger hand for Zafar who bought into VS at a £2m valuation: visionary stuff. Prof, look at the implications of this RNS: the NHS is the biggest buying organisation in Europe, and they have accepted VS, so imagine who else will be queuing up to use this software. We aren't looking at a unicorn, but a decacorn. | ![]() anton85
24/10/2016 13:06 | Also folks, don't forget that there is another NHS savings driver quietly clunking away under most people's radar - "STPs" - Sustainability and Transformation Plans. "But STPs are driven by the Treasury. They are focused on reducing NHS spend. In south-east London, for instance, the STP has to bridge a £1.015bn gap in NHS funding over five years to 2020/21. Across the capital, councils face a £900m gap in social care funding to 2019/20. Many places in the country are in worse shape, but unless STPs meet the funding demands of the Treasury, the plans will not be approved and areas will not receive any transformation money. Examination of the plans so far suggests many areas where plans and the savings linked to them have heroic underlying assumptions. It appears that some figures are double-counted. The evidence underpinning the claims for benefit and savings are uncertain. Efficiency savings required from NHS trusts are punishing. It is only recently that, in south-east London, plans have actually acknowledged that social care is underfunded." All pretty heavy going but watch out for an STP near you. | philmiboots
24/10/2016 13:04 | I hope for all holders there is more upside here? There will be many that bought in at the +0.4 levels on anticipation of this RNS! Surely a deal with the NHS is worth more than the current SP? Don't VS still need to identify the other 2 household names also? GLA | ![]() mickluv1
24/10/2016 12:57 | You want stats Prof, look no further:- 137 acute non-specialist trusts (including 85 foundation trusts) 17 acute specialist trusts (including 16 foundation trusts) 56 mental health trusts (including 43 foundation trusts) 35 community providers (11 NHS trusts, 6 foundation trusts and 18 social enterprises) 10 ambulance trusts (including 5 foundation trusts) | philmiboots
24/10/2016 12:28 | Pardon my ignorance here, as I've mislaid the figures, but how many trusts in total are there in the UK? Thanks in advance. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 12:06 | Good info Phil. Today is the first step towards VS becoming a "Unicorn" - $1bn company. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 11:54 | Just doing my homework on The Shelford Group - fairly well spread across the country with lots of neighbouring Trusts which, I am sure, will be closely watching. University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (OUH) Newcastle-Upon-Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust Central Manchester University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CMFT) Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH) | philmiboots
24/10/2016 11:46 | I doubt it yajnas01. They are bereft of any principle or moral. This is indeed a great entry price. Slowly wins the race, I need to add significantly over the coming months so don't want to see the share price running away. Well, not yet anyway! | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 11:33 | so are all the trolls going to admit that rtw1 called this right? they have indeed been working with the whole Shelford Group. well done rtw1, and thanks for the research you shared. this is an unbelievable entry price for anyone not in already | ![]() yajnas01
24/10/2016 11:08 | Looks like quite a few today have had a LEG up. | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 11:07 | Thanks mate , I saw your post on lse but I don't post on there anymore because I was sick of trolls and moaners / holders who took their side , just because the price fell . Take care ATB | ride the wave 1

24/10/2016 10:55 | RTW1...Been watching this in the background Had some of these a few years back You're research called it spot on Hope this flies now and you make a killing Well done and good luck | wolfram03
24/10/2016 10:53 | Well put Phil. Getting the whole NHS on board would be amazing for VS (and LEG of course). And it needn't stop there. Plenty of hospitals overseas! | ![]() professor pettigrew
24/10/2016 10:51 | Must say I think this deal does now, at last, give VS much added credibility within the NHS. Having 10 large teaching hospitals signed up will make other Trusts take serious note. The system is so strapped for cash and with NHS procurement being such a complete shambles (been there, got the T-shirt) then if using VS can demonstrate such significant savings it has to be a no brainer. | philmiboots
24/10/2016 10:44 | Every time I read the RNS, I see a select group of us uncorking the champers at the 1p bash. | ![]() professor pettigrew |
