As I have possibly mentioned, I'm on my hols at the moment but dropping in from time to time and, tbh, there's too much time being taken up by people's premium bond experiences!

Please consider the matter to be closed now.

Thanks

Much appreciated feedback there on the P.B.'s. To conclude, £200 win for Nov when I checked 10 minutes ago.

£175 for me on the latest PB draw with the full holding. My 2024 total is now £2,180 or 4.35% with one draw to come.

That's average for the year roughly based on the 4.4% currently which drops to 4.15% in the next draw. I would pay 40% tax on that money if held in an interest paying easy access account so even the market leading rates of 5.15% don't beat Premium bonds for me this year.

I was not as lucky in 2023 but it's always going to be swings and roundabouts with something like this.

Good luck all 👍🏻

MC1, See you have had a 7% return on the £50k PB,s. Well done, and Tax free. Getting 7% in Dividends on my SIPP Port atm. But need a home for a £500k Fund and share account liable for tax, and producing 34k worth of dividends per year 6.8%. Anyone any advice on getting the £500k to produce Tax free income ?

#MC1, you have done very well there, tax free income is fine by me too and does not need to be declared on a SA, having the Gov cover your beer bill over the year just feels fair.. :o)

4.40% is down to 4.15% from tomorrows draw and no tax, still great if you are a BR or HR tax payer, see what drops in for us in the morning, tax free income does add up with the ISA so have all you can get your hands on I say..

Above average luck there, MC. Well done.
I don't have any premium bonds but have some cash so must think about this. Safer than the market.

Apologies CWA - but to answer Gecko's comment about Prem Bond winnings, it's down to how lucky you are I suspect. I would consider myself unlucky but the facts appear to disprove this. £50k held throughout and this is the 'score' monthly since Oct 2023:
Zero, 100, 225, 750, 100, 50, 150, 300, 250, 700, 250, 200, 375

I would not be surprised if the target NS&I aim to pull-in increases given their need to borrow.

On my jolly hols at the moment and dropped in to see a rake of, frankly, well off-topic stuff, not really sure where it all started, what it's about or came from...but...PLEASE, can we keep it ON-topic for LGEN?

Much obliged all

Mcunliffe.

Ah you win very very regularly.

I had the Max for a while but only won 5 £50 prizes throughout the year, in a best year.

So I binned them, not worth my time.
