The big question now is what impact is this budget going to have here and for stocks generally given the rumours it’s anyone’s guess but with the American markets storming ahead and us close to all time highs confidence is key and I’m not feeling that but again markets seem oblivious to debt,war and budget black holes etc etc a black swan on the horizon possibly.

1robbob I knew the updated filter feature was a big improvement on the old filter function but hadn't realised how effective it is for blue users spamming the thread as well. Not long now for their downtick but you can't have everything.

Putting national insurance on employees pension contributions isn't going to help as many employers will just reduce the amount they contribute subject to the min 3% Worst possible kind of tax rise

Lgen is starting to move alongside Phnx but will still wait until after the budget at least.

Lots of anxious holders willing it to go up but still prefer caution coming very close to level where it has struggled to breakthrough namely 233.

But then every share has suffered the same.

The share price rise (unexpected in my case) of both LGEN and PHNX has caused me to remove the automatic dividend reinvestment option on my ii SIPP today.

I do not kid myself that I can predict the bottom of an share price range and jump in but I reckon that holding onto the dividend cash to then buy at a time better than that of about day 2-5 after receipt has to be an easy call.

Filter has its use. Good day for LGEN, as I guess most of us here for yield, more feel good than any real benefit.

You asked as to why certain shares were marked down and I presume it is because of FCA starting investigation into insurance premiums being levied.

Shouldn't impact on the likes of Lgen and phnx and other investment behemoths but is having an affect on the likes of Admiral and Direct Line as they are perceived as being in the forefront.

Don t think Aviva will be affected too much as have always found them very fair.

Also might explain the small rise in MNG today

Well Rong and Ronger, I go away for a couple of weeks, decide to take your filter off meaning I haven't seen your posts for 3 or 4 weeks, and I see you are still talking about me. Oh well. I'm really not worth trolling for.As to my investment style, it's really Buffet investment style (someone explain who he is please). Small caps, when I used to be bothered with them, is really Slater style. With results like them too. Ltbh for big caps. No staring at screens and praying all day, nor being jealousy obsessed with successful investors.
