I am with eyeQ on this one. "baking in" a real dividend cut isn't going to light many fires. Time to look again at < 220. |
SDIP? look at the portfolio and decide if you would consider buying one of the holdings let alone 101 all in one ETF
Lots of asian real estate....yummy.
9% divi and 0 capital growth BUT with equity risk isn't that attractive. Try BIPS or TFIF/SMIF if you want a higher income with little capital improvement
CVCG is a mix of both returning 20% + last year.
Of all of them I am buying XPS and Aviva. Lower yields but capital growth that outweighs |
Some "analysis" from eyeQ at ii, please remember I don't write this stuff, just pass it on for the interest, or hilarity, of the assembled group ;-) |
The tariff meyhem again is the focus affecting equities today. Regarding LGEN I expect results to be solid and news on the SH returns this year will be interesting. Lot of opportunity to have organic growth looking forward. I hope for some stable news on the investment AUM side... GLA |
Was very impressed with Aviva results yesterday but consequently little bit concerned with the lack of similar reaction in the LGEN share price.
I still like to keep my options open so will be ruing missed opportunities but solvent
Results coming thick and fast now still lots to play for
Good luck everyone |
I agree and am a happy buyer when these go on sale at 235 or below.
Good luck all 👍🏻 |
Yes I agree Cyberian, we dont expect anything else from LGEN other than a share price re-rate to 260-270p mark in 2025, plus the stonking divi which gives an advantage over Aviva. I am in both but X3 in LGEN.. Looking fwd to the results in a few weeks ..GLA |
Aviva's outstanding Y/E results announced this morning could benefit sentiment here in a positive way, hopefully. The sector looks undervalued at the high end so will be interesting to see the market reaction over the next few weeks. The AV. dividend increase of 7% and very positive forward guidance will be a challenge for LGEN and something our CEO will have noted. LGEN has an equally excellent team to match Aviva's record with possibly some room to move ahead in 2025/6. A re-visit to the 260p level will be very welcome and justified imho. |
Nigel went "all inclusive" - and I don't mean his holiday choice. |
the glory years for LGEN (and I guess for much else in the FTSE100) were 2012 to 2016... So what happened in 2016? What happened in 2016 that stopped all growth for the next 10 years? |
Also a fan of Quarterly divis.. :) |
cyb - Yes agreed. I would prefer all my companies to go to equal quarterlies.
spud |
And yet a tiny market cap reit can manage it |
spud. That is a shame as I agree with other posters that a quarterly dividend would steady the customary Ex Divi factor seen more so on the Final than after the 1h year. However I would expect the share price to hold up after the final results due next month and before we go XD in late April. |
I think cost is the only argument put forward by companies.
spud |
Better still a quarterly dividend would hamper the now common, sell off between dividends. |
Wouldn’t it be nice if they paid an equal amount every time rather than weighting it on the final |
VNP: Super Dividend ETL pays out monthly..... |
You'll have to wait until March 12th for results. It might push the price back up further. It's still a lovely dividend coming our way. To be honest, wouldn't it be lovely if they paid out every quarter. June and September, and it long way back to June again. I think the share price would be higher if they did change it. |
Dope007 .. very true .. UK totally unloved since decades |
With all the Japanese deals, American prospects and mega dividend yield, do we know why this share is not heading into orbit? |
It looks like the recent news that cause an share price upsurge has turned out to be a damp squib. |
I would not be that surprised if we see our Japanese partner add to their 5% shareholding at these levels. Their contribution would be very positive in growing the key sectors where the combined skills are key. Have added more at these bargain levels as I tend to look for dividend revenues to benefit my portfolio. As they say a bird in the hand at a current yield of over 8.5% is very attractive. Best wishes. |
